Bizarre moment mourners watch Copa America match next to an OPEN COFFIN at their grandfather’s wake
A group of mourners watched a live Copa America football match while sitting next to a relative’s open casket during a family wake.
The deceased man, named Grandpa Fena, was a big sports fanatic.
At his wake were several of his sporting trophies and a large poster of him holding up a shiny cup.
The poster reads: ‘Uncle Fena, thank you for all the moments you gave us.
“We will always remember you, your Condorian family.”

His funeral took place in Chile on the same day the national team took on Peru in the Copa America last Friday (June 21).

Unfortunately for the passionate family members and friends, the match ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw.
Four days later, Chile lost their second group match against Argentina 1–0 after a last-gasp goal from Lautaro Martínez.
They now need to win their final match against Canada on Saturday (June 29) to have a chance of progressing in the tournament.
One family member said, “Not even death can separate us, goodbye grandpa.”

One resident said: ‘At my house we watched the match as if it were a funeral too.’
Another wrote: ‘There were about five other dead people lying in the field.’
Peter commented, “You haven’t missed anything my friend, stay dead.”
Oscar groaned, “The game was dead, not a single spark. Anyway, good luck my friend.’
