Social media users who logged into social media today may have seen their timelines flooded with Elon Musk memes.
The AI-generated memes portray the tech entrepreneur as the First Lady of newly-elected President Donald Trump.
According to the Daily dotthe memes started after Musk was seen in a Trump family photo.
Then they gained steam when a false rumor spread that author Stephen King had been banned from X, formerly Twitter, for calling Musk “Trump’s First Lady.”

King later clarified that the rumors were untrue and that he had not been banned from the platform.
“I see there’s a rumor going around that I named the Musk guy Trump’s new first lady,” King wrote.
‘I didn’t, but only because I didn’t think about it. There’s also a rumor that Muskie kicked me off Twitter. Yet here I am.’
The memes are largely shared by liberal X-users as a way to mock Musk.
In the memes, the entrepreneur has been transformed into a stately female figure with the help of AI tools.
It comes as Trump officially urged Musk to “dismantle” America’s bloated $6.5 trillion bureaucracy by heading the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.
Trump made the bombshell announcement Tuesday evening, saying Musk will lead the “Manhattan Project of our time” with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
“This will send shockwaves through the system, and through everyone involved in government waste, which is a lot of people!” Musk said in a statement.
It comes as Trump officially tapped Musk to “dismantle” America’s bloated $6.5 trillion bureaucracy by heading the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.
Republicans have long complained about government overspending and Trump touted that DOGE will achieve its goals by July 4, 2026.
Trump promised the pair would help him “dismantle” the government bureaucracy and “cut excessive regulations, reduce wasteful spending and restructure federal agencies.”
Trump said the immense project will “eliminate enormous waste and fraud” and would be completed by July 4, 2026.
