“It could have been a very different season if it had gone a little more in our favour,” said Head of Rugby Rich Demain-Griffiths.
“But the credit has to go to the guys who have grown and evolved over the season,” he added.
“The attempts against Pangbourne came across the park and were the result of excellent attacking phases.”

One team keeping their form is Trinity School, Croydon, who are in second place after a 38-21 win over Hampton last weekend.
It continued Trinity’s unbeaten record and keeps the pressure on leaders Clifton and ahead of third-placed Sedbergh.
Trinity’s success is based on a fast-paced game plan and the victory over Hampton came from two vital tries just before the break from full backs Sam Medcraft and Conor Byrne.
Among the chasing pack is undefeated Oakham who beat Bedford School 40-24.

This followed wins over Rugby (29-14), Bromsgrove (36-12), Warwick (33-7) and a hard-fought 27-24 defeat of Stowe in the National Cup.
It led Oakham’s director of rugby, Andy Rice, to praise his team for their efforts. “The game against Bedford was our third in all competitions over a seven-day period, so it was hard work for everyone.”
The trophy will be played during the fall term based on a merit table organized by SOCS, the school management systems company. This year a record number of 135 teams have registered.
