A high-profile bishop appeared to suffer a medical emergency in the middle of a sermon at his Dallas megachurch.
Bishop TD Jakes, 67, was filmed shaking involuntarily during the ordeal Sunday at The Potter’s House megachurch.
The place of worship has a capacity of about 8,000 people, and the crowd responded to Jakes’ episode in real time.
Commands to “stand back” and “give him some space” can be heard in clips now gaining popularity online, as staffers crowd the preacher, who moments earlier had dropped his microphone.
When this happened mid-sentence, the development saw a livestream of the sermon suddenly halted – replaced by an off-camera voice telling the audience and those watching from home to “start praying.”
