BioShock 4 is official
2K Cloud Chamber is now “ramping up” development of BioShock 4 while new vacancies are being shared.
After almost five years since the Bioshock 4 was announced to be in the works, but the developer has officially confirmed that it is now officially underway and is looking for additional members to join the 2K Cloud Chamber team.
As noted by GamesRadarLast week, Jeff Spoonhower, senior cinematic designer at the studio, shared some open positions on LinkedIn, and gave a preview of what’s to come.
“The BioShock team at 2K Cloud Chamber is busy warming up!” the after reads. “We have many vacancies open across disciplines including art, animation, engineering, design, narrative and production.”
Spoonhower added that the development team is “working on a really great project,” but did not provide further details.
From now, BioShock 4 has no official name or release date, and we also don’t know what the game is about.
The project was announced back in 2019, but will not be made by the series’ original creator, Irrational Games. 2K Cloud Chamber has BioShock veterans on the team, and given that we’re in the middle of the current-gen console lifecycle, the game will likely also release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, in addition to PC.
Because every BioShock Although the title is in the first person, we can assume that the fourth part will also follow the tradition of the series.
