Bindi Irwin set to make a big TV comeback as she heads overseas for US tour… as brother Robert’s career goes from strength to strength

Bindi Irwin is expected to head to the US soon for a book tour with her husband Chandler Powell and their three-year-old daughter Grace Warrior.

And sources say the 26-year-old celebrity conservationist will use the trip to boost her profile in the United States.

There is a lot of speculation that fans will likely see Bindi on breakfast TV and on the late night talk show circuit.

Bindi was last in the US in 2023, where she underwent surgery to treat her endometriosis.

Bindi and her family are expected to prioritize visiting Chandler’s parents, Chris and Shannon Powell, who live in Florida.

An insider discussed the tour – which Bindi has yet to officially confirm – in the latest issue of Women’s Day.

“The last time they saw Bindi she wasn’t well, so she’s looking forward to making happy new memories now that she’s much stronger,” the source said.

They continued: ‘It’s an incredibly happy time for the whole family. But for Bindi, it’s another chance to remind the world that she’s still here and better than ever before.”

Bindi will use the trip to the US to launch her new book You Are a Wildlife Warrior, due to be released on February 4, and to promote the legacy of her late father, Steve Irwin.

The trip comes after Bindi’s health problems reduced her workload.

She hasn’t appeared on a reality show since winning the US version of Dancing with the Stars in 2019.

“She has so many American fans who have been following her since long before she put on her dancing shoes for DWTS – this isn’t just about her and selling a book,” the source continued.

“It’s about her father and Irwin’s legacy. Creating new opportunities in America with Steve’s only grandchild by her side is something she has wanted to do since she became a mother.”

While her brother Robert Irwin, 21, has a high profile and was recently nominated for his first Logie award, Bindi has led a quiet public life in recent years.

Bindi often posts videos on social media while spending time at the Australia Zoo with Chandler Powell, their daughter and her mother Terri.

She was the last in the US to undergo surgery at the Seckin Endometriosis Center in New York City after struggling with endometriosis for more than a decade.

The procedure removed a total of thirty-seven lesions and a ‘chocolate cyst’ – a term for a cyst filled with menstrual blood.

It comes after tensions emerged last month between Bindi Irwin and her younger brother Robert as he continues his solo career.

As 21-year-old Robert prepares to host a new season of I’m A Celebrity, a rift is reportedly developing between the two siblings.

According to New Idea, Bindi wants her brother to spend more time on their family business.

“Bindi wants Robert to make decisions about his career that will pay off in a way that draws attention and people to Australia Zoo,” a source told the magazine.

“That’s always her focus… conservation first, celebrity status second. And she thinks it should be his too.”

Together with their mother Terri and Bindi’s husband Chandler, the siblings operate the Australia Zoo conservation park on the Sunshine Coast.

Over the past year, Robert’s popularity has soared, leading him to be nominated for the coveted Gold Logie award.

Robert, who has an impressive 6 million followers on Instagram, also appears to be building up his TV profile.

Last month the Wildlife Warrior teased that he was forging a deeper relationship with Channel 10 following the success of I’m A Celebrity.

But his enormous success has created a “professional divide” between the Irwin siblings, the insider added.

‘Bindi has always been focused on conservation; she has really resisted doing projects that didn’t have much focus on her life’s work,” the source claimed.

‘But it seems that Robert is keen to build his profile, knowing that his popularity and status will ultimately bring focus to his work.’

Since Steve Irwin’s tragic death in 2006, his family has continued his legacy and won over legions of fans with their upbeat social media videos.

Australia Zoo was actually founded in 1970 by Steve’s father Bob Snr.

He left the company for good in 2008, two years after the death of his famous son.
