Bindi Irwin has been criticized by some fans for promoting products on social media.

The zookeeper, 24, and her husband Chandler Powell shared a “paid partnership” message for low-waste cleaning brand Cleanery on Thursday.

She posted a photo of the couple posing with numerous of the brand’s products, as well as another image of herself cleaning a kitchen counter.

“Anyone who has been a part of my life knows that I like to keep my house super clean,” she wrote in the caption.

‘I only share things I believe in 100 percent and that’s why I’m proud to share our household product. My go-to is @cleaneryonline for environmentally friendly cleaning.’

Bindi went on to mention the benefits of the products, before closing her post by encouraging her followers to use a discount code with her name.

A handful of followers were unhappy with Bindi’s paid post, with some saying it “tarnished” the authenticity of the Irwin brand.

“Please, don’t commercialize yourself!” noted one fan.

‘I don’t like to see you commercialize yourself,’ wrote another, while a third added: ‘Don’t go into advertising, it tarnishes your image.’

However, other followers praised Bindi and Chandler for making ethical choices when it comes to the products they promote.

“Love these photos promoting such a great cleaning product that has been approved by Occa!” a supporter wrote.

“Never thought I’d see an Irwin put up a post with a promo code. But yes, if it is an environmentally friendly product, then I say [thumbs up],’ added another.

‘So glad you’re using what you’re advocating, especially eco-friendly products [that are] good for everyone,” said a third.

This is not the first time Bindi has used her Instagram account to promote a product.

Earlier this year, she announced her new addition in what appeared to be her very first sponsored post.

Bindi promoted a range of all-natural baby wipes, saying the product had made life easier for her as a mother of a one-year-old daughter.

Her post contained a 20 percent discount code.

Bindi’s decision to monetize her social media followers comes after the Irwins admitted in February 2021 that their zoo was in dire straits due to Covid restrictions.

And in November of that year, an Australia Zoo employee alleged to New Idea that there were layoffs at the sanctuary.

The source said “several key staff members” were fired within a few weeks.

Last year, Bindi also admitted that her late father Steve’s legacy nearly collapsed as the family struggled to keep Australia Zoo operational during the pandemic.

The zoo had to close for 78 days in 2020-21 due to the pandemic, but the Irwins still had to pay $80,000 a week to feed the animals.

The huge expense placed the tourist attraction in a difficult financial situation.

“The zoo relies on international visitors, and with the borders closed, even some state borders closed, and even Aussies struggling to get home, that’s a significant portion of their income gone,” a source said.
