Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, tells GMA he and fiancée Firerose, 34, are ‘like peanut butter and jelly’… after ex-wife Tish Cyrus weds Dominic Purcell
Billy Ray Cyrus and fiancé Firerose are doing better than ever this year with the release of a new album called Plans.
And on Thursday, the country singers spoke with Good morning America about how happy they are when they perform their new single on stage.
“It was a beautiful whirlwind,” said 34-year-old Australian artist Firerose.
“I’m so thankful that I get to live my dreams every day with the love of my life.”
“We’re kind of like peanut butter and jelly,” shared 62-year-old Billy Ray — Miley Cyrus’ father.

“I’m a left-handed singer-songwriter from Flatwoods, Kentucky, and she’s a trained orchestra musician,” he added.
The singers sang Plans, written by Oscar-winning songwriter Diane Warren.
“Diane DMed me and said, ‘Do you want to do a song?’ And I thought, “Ah! Yes! I would love nothing more,” Firerose recalls.
“I mean, she was a huge inspiration for me to pursue my songwriting and so it was a dream come true. When she sent Plans, it was meant to be.’
Firerose wore a beaded cherry red trouser suit that jutted out to reveal her chest. She looked elegant in platform heels and her white blonde hair was worn down when she wore long earrings.
Billy Ray wore a black blazer with rolled up sleeves and black slacks. He wore a cream straw hat over braided hair.
This comes just weeks after his ex-wife Tish Cyrus married Prison Break TV star Dominic Purcell in Southern California.
The musical relationship between Billy Ray and Firerose first started in July 2021 when they released a song together.

They recently teamed up again for the new song Plans.
Billy Ray – best known for his smash hit Achy Breaky Heart – and Firerose first met on the set of Miley’s Disney series Hannah Montana more than twelve years ago.
A few years ago they started dating and IIn August 2022, the couple got engaged. It was just four months after his ex-wife Tish Cyrus filed for divorce in April 2022.
Billy Ray and Firerose’s engagement was not announced until November 2022.

Tish and Billy Ray have not lived together since 2020.
Tish has five children: one of them is Flowers hitmaker Miley Cyrus, who used to be married to Liam Hemsworth.
She also dated Nick Jonas.
Her latest hit is Used To Be Young, which Adele recently complimented.
The other kids are Brandi Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, Christopher Cody, Brandon Cyrus.
Billy Ray and Tish have five between them; the latter is also a stepmother to the singer’s eldest son, Christopher. Before her marriage to Billy Ray, Tish had two children: Brandi and Trace.
As children, both were adopted by Billy Ray and officially became members of the Cyrus clan.
In August 2023, his ex-wife Tish, 56, married Purcell. Miley attended.

He was married to Rebecca Williamson from 1998 to 2008.
They share four children together: Joseph, 24, Audrey, 22, and twins Lily-Rose and Augustus, 20.
Williamson is known for the films Balibo (2009), Praise (1998) and Barry and Garry (1997).
Dominic dated Brooke Burns from Baywatch and AnnaLynne McCord from 90210.
