Billy Idol has left even his most devoted fans stunned by revealing that he has another son, as well as two grandchildren that his loyal followers never knew existed.
The reformed hellraiser – real name William Broad – shared a series of family photos to his Instagram grid in September, but the appearance of previously undocumented relatives sparked a flood of stunned reactions.
Idol, 67, was originally expected to have a son, 35-year-old Willem Wolf, with ex-dancer Perri Lister, as well as daughter Bonnie Blue, 34, from a former relationship with Linda Mathis.
Through his daughter, the rocker is also a grandparent to Poppy Rebel, two, and 21-month-old MaryJane Rebel.
But photos taken backstage after his performance at Brooklyn’s Kings Theater on September 13 suggested the British rocker’s immediate family is bigger than initially thought.

Accompanying the images, Idol revealed that he had been visited by previously unknown son Brant Northridge-Broad and his young granddaughter Mckenzie.
He wrote: ‘Had a lovely visit from my granddaughter McKenzie backstage at the Kings Theater yesterday… also with my son @brant_northridge_broad… also McKenzie recently started school – BFI.’
The photos show Idol posing with his granddaughter, who is wearing earmuffs to isolate her from his raucous show.
She also appears to be dressed for the occasion, with Idol pictured admiring her leather shorts, sparkly boots and fishnet socks during the backstage meeting.
Others from New York visit Mason, the younger brother of rebel McKenzie.
Elsewhere, the rocker joins his son for a selfie, with Brant, 38, born in 1985 and who bears a striking resemblance to his famous father.
Commenting on the post, a surprised follower wrote: ‘Well, Billy hasn’t been shy about his wild childhood, there used to be… “lots of”… ladies, there’s bound to be a child coming out of some paternity tests. he looks older than Willem and Bonnie, so maybe just before/during, but I never know, glad he’s getting to know them anyway.’
A second added: ‘I’m so confused. A third child, Billy? Where have I been?’

Unexpectedly: The news of his additional family members caused a wave of reactions from followers on social media
While a third wrote: ‘I didn’t know you had another son and granddaughter, cool.’
Apparently bewildered, another said, “I never knew you had another son.” He looks just like you!’
Brant later posted: “Better late than never. Some men only get one positive influence in their lives.
“I was blessed to have two growing up and now I have my biological father Bill in my life.”
When Idol discussed his relationship with granddaughter Poppy on Audacy Check in 2022, he said, “It’s been great to see her character develop. She now also has a sister, MaryJane, she is 7 months old.
“Seeing her personality coming up and all, Poppy, she’s definitely got some of the old grandpa block.”
Old Times: Idol was known as a hellraiser during its early years in the music industry
