Billy Crystal’s dark side makes my blood run cold in the Apple TV Plus trailer for the new psychological thriller Before

Apple TV Plus has released the trailer for the new psychological thriller For, and Billy Crystal’s dark side is actually chilling in his first dramatic lead role, which feels like something straight out of the movie The sixth sense.

Say goodbye to comedy legend Harry Burns, the rom-com heartthrob When Harry met Sally, and hello to tortured psychiatrist Eli as Crystal takes on a role unlike anything he’s ever done before.

Crystal flexes his dramatic muscles For trailer (see below) in which he plays Eli, a grieving child psychiatrist who develops a bond with troubled young boy Noah (Jacobi Jupe). However, things soon take a supernatural turn when Noah spreads ominous drawings of a mysterious farm and scratches symbols on Eli’s door until his fingers bleed.

A particularly sinister moment comes when Noah, with wide, terrified eyes, tells Eli, “You know what you’ve done,” before the trailer cuts to Eli’s dead wife Lynn (Judith Light) lying in a bathtub. It appears that Eli is harboring dark secrets, but what they are remains to be seen when For lands on one of the top streaming services on October 25th.

For is another compelling character-driven thriller to add alongside, for example Black Bird, Lady in the lake, And Radiant girls . The ten-episode series follows Eli, a child psychiatrist who mourns the loss of his wife Lynn. Soon after, he meets a disturbed young boy named Noah, who has an eerie connection to his past. As he tries to help Noah, their special bond grows closer.

Eli is a man clearly haunted by his past, and his late wife’s presence is still felt in the house, serving as a constant reminder of Eli’s shadowy past. One thing’s for sure, though: Crystal’s intense looks and raspy voice clearly reveal his newfound dark side and could be a winner for our best Apple TV Plus shows. In addition to Crystal, Rosie Perez (The stewardess), Maria Dizzia (Orange is the new black), and Ava Lalezarzadeh (In the garden of tulips).
