A Buffalo Bills fan appears to have gotten a little over-excited at his team’s home opener on Sunday after a bizarre sequence of events led to him being rescued by emergency services from a 40-foot hole outside the stadium.

The unnamed 29-year-old, who claims he was under the influence of alcohol, LSD, cocaine and marijuana, was recovered by officials before the game during a 20-minute rescue operation, with the first call coming around 12:18 p.m. ET.

Security and fans outside the stadium told police they saw the man undressing on a porta-potty on site before covering himself in human feces.

He then allegedly jumped the fence to the construction site for the new Bills stadium, which is located just west of their current home in Orchard Park, across from Abbott Road and south of Community College Drive.

Incredibly, the man’s only injury after his rescue was a cut to his forehead and he was transported to Buffalo General Hospital where he was then examined by medical personnel.

70,000 fans came to Highmark Stadium for the match, but one didn’t make it that far

The unsavory incident happened in car park 3, where construction work is taking place

Most Bills fans enjoyed the game and managed to keep their clothes on during the win

The man was also issued a ticket to appear in the city of Orchard Park for criminal trespass, according to Sheriff Garcia of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

Unfortunately for the Bills fan, he also missed his team’s first win of the season, as Josh Allen and Co. rebounded from a Monday Night Football loss to the Jets to defeat the Las Vegas Raiders 38-10.

Police say a total of eight evictions from the stadium took place before, during and after the match – although none of the others are likely to come close to the bizarre nature of the pre-match offender.

Next up, the Bills face a road game against the Washington Commanders in Week 3.
