The billionaire founder of Westfield, 92, has been spotted with a mystery woman and introducing her to friends as his ‘new girlfriend’, according to the daily telegraph.

The woman’s name remains unknown, but sources say she is in her early 70s and met Sir Lowy in Israel, where she currently resides.

Sources also note that the widower, who shares three children with his late wife of 66 years, Shirley Lowy, has been “much revived” by the company of his new lover.

Sir Lowy still carries on his late wife’s legacy after recently donating $27 million to Tel Aviv University and renaming the International School in memory of her.

The new name of the school has been revealed and it will be called The Lowy International School Dedicated to the Memory of Shirley Lowy.

“My family and I know that the memory of my dear wife Shirley will live on forever at TAU ​​and this makes us proud,” he said.

“This tribute to my wife combines all the things that are most important to her: education, the state of Israel and the empowerment of the new generations.”

Lady Lowy was surrounded by family, including her husband and children, in Tel Aviv, Israel, when she passed away on December 9, 2020.

“It is with the deepest sorrow that we confirm the passing of Shirley Lowy, our loving wife, mother, grandmother-in-law and great-grandmother,” the family said in a statement at the time.

She passed away peacefully at the age of 86, in Tel Aviv, comforted in her final days by her husband, Frank, and her immediate family, including her sons David, Peter, and Steven.

Lady Lowry was diagnosed with dementia about 10 years ago.

In a documentary about his condition, What Will Become of Us, Sir Lowry spoke about his personal struggles.

“The nights are really very difficult because she goes to bed between 7 and 8 and then I don’t know exactly what to do with myself. As her memory recedes further and further away, I want to hold onto my own,” she said.

During filming, Sir Lowry was selling the Westfield Corporation, the company he founded in Blacktown in 1959.

At the time, Sir Lowry was dealing with what would happen when the company left.

‘Where will I be without the company? It would have been nice to discuss this matter with my wife, but it’s not possible.

Lady Lowry was born in Sydney to immigrant parents. Her family, who moved to Australia from Poland and the UK, spent time in Bondi before moving further north.

Sir Frank and Lady Lowy met at a Hanukkah party in 1952 and were married for 68 years.

They had three children together, David, Peter, and Steven.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts once her children were older, but she prioritized her family life over paid work.

She has been remembered for her philanthropic work, having begun to establish a scholarship at Moriah College, a private school in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, to help the underprivileged.

He also helped Jewish families in need and established homes for children from troubled families in Israel.

Sir Frank Lowry was seen as the father of Australian retail after the development of a shopping center in Blacktown in Western Sydney in 1959, which eventually became Westfield Shopping Centres.
