Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford split after seven months.
The singer, 21, and the musician, 31, confirmed they had split ‘amicably’ in a statement to Page six on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for Eilish said: “We can confirm that Billie and Jesse have parted amicably and remain close friends.”
They also denied that the relationship had ended due to cheating. Eilish and Rutherford were last seen together at Coachella in April.
The couple’s age gap romance had sparked controversy as Billie was the tender age of 20 and Jesse, 31, when they debuted their romance.
Billie and Jesse made their red carpet debut at the star-studded LACMA Art+Film Gala 2022 in November 2022.
Billie was first linked to Jesse, a lead singer of the Neighborhood, when the two were spotted by a fan at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in October 2022.

The creator uploaded a clip of the two walking close together on TikTok, adding a caption to the post: “OMG I just saw Billie Eilish on Horror Nights.”
In the brief role, the stars appeared to be holding hands as The Neighborhood bandmate led the singer out of a spooky-themed maze.
While Jesse’s face was not seen in the video, additional social media posts showed that he was not only at the park with Billie, but also with her older brother, Finneas.
In an instant, Jesse was wearing a leather jacket similar to the one worn in the now-viral TikTok video.
The Grammy winner also uploaded a post of her posing in a bathroom, also taken at the crowded theme park.
Rumors quickly spread through the internet and the two were spotted dining together at a popular LA restaurant called Crossroads Kitchen.
The American singer shared a kiss with Rutherford after another recent dinner date at Studio City restaurant La Mirch.
With her arms draped over his shoulders, Eilish was seen sharing an intimate moment with the singer as they walked down the street.
On December 18, 2017, a Jesse Rutherford fan account tweeted pictures of Billie and Jesse playfully posing at a costume party together.
Sparking controversy: The couple’s age-gap romance drew criticism — and in October they were slammed online over their ‘disturbing’ Halloween costumes for babies and old men

While Jesse’s face was not seen in the video, additional social media posts showed that he was not only in the park with Billie, but also with her older brother Finneas.
The tweet, which surfaced via TMZ, was originally posted on Billie’s 16th birthday when Jesse was 26 years old.
In October, the pair were slammed online over their “disturbing” baby and old man Halloween costumes.
Seemingly targeting critics of their age-gap romance, the singer dressed up as a baby, complete with a diaper and bonnet, while Rutherford wore a bald cap and wrinkled prosthetics in photos posted by Pop Crave.
In a snap, posted by Billie’s brother Finneas’ partner Ashe, the No Time To Die hitmaker wore doll-like makeup, a blonde wig and an outfit decorated with stuffed animals.
The pair have not posted anything about their costumes on social media, but the ensembles were labeled “sick and twisted” by fans. The couple’s 11-year age difference, especially since he may have known her since she was a minor, has recently sparked backlash on social media.
In November 2022, the Bad Guy hitmaker gushed about “shutting down” Rutherford when she first opened up about their relationship.

“I’m just really inspired by this person, and you know, he’s inspired by me,” she told the publication. “It’s really cool, and I’m really excited and I’m really happy about it.”
“I managed to get to a point in my life where I was not only known by a person who I thought was the hottest asshole in the world, but also pulled his a**! Are you joking? Can we just [get a] applause for me?’
‘I drew him a**! All me! I fucking did that! I locked that bastard up!’
Eilish also addressed the criticism of her relationship.
“Say what you have to say, but I’m in control now. I did this,” she told the publication.
Eilish also revealed that her love language was physical touch as she described the qualities she needs in a relationship.
“I just have to touch skin all the time. Touching, cuddling and cuddling, everything that has to do with the skin, is really something for me. And just freedom. You know, I don’t want to be controlled. I want to be trusted and I want to have space and I want love and attention and equal admiration is really important.”
Eilish, who previously dated Matthew Tyler Vorce in 2021, said she is “extremely thankful” for the romance she had with Vorce.
“I’m so thankful for the relationship I had last year and I think he’s so much happier now, which really makes me happy,” she said.
