- Former Billericay Town owner Glenn Tamplin is on the run from police
- He brought Jamie O'Hara and Jermaine Pennant to the non-league club
- Manchester United fans should fear a trip to Anfield – It all starts
Glenn Tamplin, former millionaire owner of non-league club Billericay Town, is on the run from police.
Tamplin, 57, who made his fortune in the steel industry, failed to comply with a community order between October 19 and November 4 last year before failing to appear at St Albans Magistrates Court earlier this year.
A second arrest warrant was issued for him in October for possession of cocaine.
Hertfordshire Police have confirmed they are looking for Tamplin after arrest warrants were issued.
A police spokesperson confirmed: 'A warrant was issued by St Albans Magistrates' Court on 12 July 2023 for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order between 19 October 2022 and 4 November 2022.

'On October 3, 2023, a warrant was also issued by St. Albans Magistrates' Court for possession of a controlled Class A drug (cocaine) on May 9, 2023.'
Tamplin took over as owner of Billericay in December 2016 and subsequently lured former Premier League stars Jamie O'Hara and Jermaine Pennant to the club with his £40 million fortune after being named the second most powerful person in the Essex Power 100.
Tamplin caused a stir in 2018 when he told O'Hara's then fiancée Elizabeth-Jayne Tierney: “You can do so much better than him,” after visiting her to drop off the footballer's wages while he was away with friends at Ibiza.
He later sent a separate WhatsApp message that read: “Let me know if I can show you what you're missing.”
Tierney was shocked by Tamplin's behavior towards friends who claimed she had made it clear to him that he had acted inappropriately. O'Hara and Tierney split in 2022.
Tamplin famously brought Jamie O'Hara to Billericay, and he later became the club's player-manager

Former Premier League star Jermaine Pennant also had a short spell at Billericay
O'Hara, a League Cup winner with Tottenham in 2008, was the team's player-manager between 2019 and 2020.
Pennant, who played in the 2007 Champions League final for Liverpool, had a much shorter stay at Billericay, just a matter of months before leaving in 2017.
Tamplin left Billericay in 2019 to take over fellow non-league team Romford.
He made an immediate impact when he bought fifteen players, fired the manager and put himself in charge, all on the first day.
But just 16 months later he quit football and left his £10 million mansion behind to move abroad.

In November 2021, after returning to Britain, Tamplin was attacked in his home and rumors spread online that he had died.
His son Archie denied the rumors on Twitter and Tamplin was found alive and well, while a man was arrested for actual bodily harm following the incident.
Less than six months later, Tamplin, who counts The Only Way is Essex stars Mark Wright and Jake Hall among his friends, was tasked with removing 15,000 tonnes of rubbish from his Essex mansion.
Aerial photographs showed piles of rubbish and soil on his property, and Essex County Council gave him seven months to clear up the mess.
