Bill Maher unleashes hilarious new insult about Joe Biden, 81, as he insists president’s hopes of running again are ‘toast’

Comedian Bill Maher has once again taken aim at President Biden, claiming there is “no chance” the 81-year-old will be the Democratic presidential nominee.

The ‘Real Time’ host recently told The Rubin Report that Biden will eventually be forced to drop out of the race because “the pressure is going to continue to mount.” However, he stressed that there is “still time” for Democrats to turn the tide.

“It doesn’t have to be a disaster,” said Maher, who earlier in Friday’s episode of “Real Time” claimed the president was “toast.”

It comes as a growing number of incumbent Democrats have called on Biden to step aside from the presidential race, as polls show him consistently losing in key states in a showdown with Donald Trump.

Bill Maher (R) sat down with conservative commentator Dave Rubin (L) to discuss the state of the presidential race. He said Biden will be forced to drop out of the race because “the pressure is going to keep mounting.”

Maher spoke with the show’s host, conservative commentator Dave Rubin, in an episode released Tuesday, though the episode appeared to have been recorded before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

Rubin, a former Democrat turned staunch Republican who supported Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign, began their conversation by calling Biden’s downward spiral an “epic disaster” for Democrats.

Maher countered, however, that hope is not lost as long as Biden steps aside. He even speculated that the left could easily defeat Trump if they nominate a moderate and charismatic candidate.

“This is a great opportunity, America loves new,” he said.

“It almost doesn’t matter who it is. Just someone new. The less we know about them, the better.”

Maher directed his comments toward the Democratic Party, continuing, “Just get anybody who’s not 100 years old, has a ‘D’ behind their name, and is some kind of centrist, and you can win this election. Just give us that choice.”

The comedian compared the current state of the country to a “sitcom that’s been on for eight seasons” and joked that we “need new characters.”

He added that while Biden now appears to be holding on stubbornly, the “pressure is going to continue to mount.” Maher said he would “put his money on him just not being the nominee.”

In his most recent “Real Time” episode, Maher struck a similar tone when he listed a number of potential replacements he believes could beat Trump.

He started with Vice President Kamala Harris, who as the natural heir to the top of the Democratic ticket “would get all of Biden’s campaign money,” Maher said.

“And on abortion, she’s a walking reminder to women that Republicans are coming for the abortion pill,” he continued. “She won’t just protect Plan B, she is Plan B.”

He also cited her past as a California prosecutor, noting that “Kamala was putting criminals in prison before liberals decided that was a bad thing.”

Maher noted, however, that Harris has “never been popular for whatever reason,” citing her poor performance in the 2020 presidential primaries as evidence.

“You can count the number of delegates she’s won on one hand, as long as that hand doesn’t have fingers.”

Maher then moved on to two other candidates who could pass Harris as the primary candidate, namely California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Maher said Newsom’s biggest drawback seems to be that he’s “too slick,” but he didn’t think that was such a negative trait because “being slick is something Biden hasn’t been accused of lately.”

“And at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, he is as tall and heavy as Trump claims,” he added.

The comedian also put a positive spin on Whitmer’s hypothetical candidacy, saying she’s a “very attractive choice.”

He pointed out that she is a popular governor in the state of Michigan, who absolutely must win, and that she has a number of policy successes to fall back on, such as raising wages, protecting abortion rights and legalizing marijuana.
