Bill Maher predicts GOP will win big in midterms because of ‘woke culture’

Bill Maher predicts that the GOP will gain a lot in the medium term because of ‘woke culture’, comparing America to the ‘Titanic right after the iceberg hit’ and saying that democracy was like a ‘McRib, so enjoy it while you can’.

The Real Time host, 66, didn’t seem too positive on Tuesday about the 2022 midterm elections, saying that “wakeful culture is just one reason Republicans will do so well in this election.”

He went on to say that “the left has gone super crazy with a lot of things the average American just never voted for,” such as gender identity and homelessness.

Maher was also sure it “doesn’t matter” whether former President Donald Trump, 76, who is reportedly in power in 2024, “wins or loses.”

“He shows up on inauguration day and this time he’s got those 300 people behind him who will support his bulls and that’s when the rubber hits the road,” he said in comedian Bill Burr’s podcast on Thursday.

The Republican Party is predicted to rule the Senate and House after Tuesday’s election.

“After these elections, things are going to fundamentally change in this country,” Maher said on Thursday. “They’re definitely going to win.”

Maher channeled the same energy on his Friday night show on HBO, where he again stated that “democracy will lose” and that Trump’s “election deniers” will prevail on Tuesday.

He said on his show that the former president’s election deniers will free themselves a seat and that Americans “don’t even care if it happens.”

“Democracy is on the agenda, and unfortunately it’s going to lose and once it’s gone, it’s gone. It’s not someone who can make you change your mind the other way around. That’s gender,” he joked, referring to gender reassignment and de-transitioners.

“There are nearly 300 candidates on the ballot this year who don’t believe in ballot papers and they will be the ones writing the rules and controlling how the votes are counted. [20]24.’

One of his panellists, Fareed Zakaria, said the “majority” of Republican candidates running in the midterm elections “are election deniers.”

He compared America to the Titanic and the McRib.

The outspoken host also said goodbye to the peaceful transfer of power, the Bill of Rights and the rule of law.

“Make no mistake, it will be a very different way of life for many because our elections will just be for show, like in China and Russia and all the other places that Trump says are ‘very strong,'” he said.

He encouraged Americans to vote, but said, “It’s also a waste of breath because everyone who believes that is already voting and everyone who has to learn that isn’t looking and nobody in America can be convinced of anything anyway.”

Maher also predicted that no matter whether Trump “wins or loses” in 2024, he will appear at the inauguration anyway and will now be supported by the “300 people” in the midterm elections. He also said Democrats, like Biden, are being pushed on topics that Americans “never voted” on, such as gender identity and homelessness.
