Bill Maher slammed President Joe Biden’s latest policy move, saying, “I don’t think they could have done a worse job.”
On his show Real Time on Friday, Maher denounced Biden’s new immigration policy, saying it “won’t pass” with voters.
On Tuesday, Biden announced an executive action limiting the number of migrants who can arrive at the border and seek asylum to 2,500 per day.
Maher said, “If Biden loses this election, it will be because of two things: he’s old… and immigration.
“I mean, just on a political level, I don’t think they could have done a worse job.”

Biden’s executive order has been rejected by both Republicans and Democrats.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) called the order a “betrayal” of American ideals and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) criticized the move for not making it easier for migrants to obtain documented status.
Biden is using the same authority that former President Trump used when he imposed a ban on those who could enter the US through the southern border.
Discussing Biden’s decision, Maher said, “He’s finally going to, after saying there was nothing he could do, issue an executive order — this is the same executive order, by the way, that Trump tried to get through the court and they wouldn’t let it.” he does it.
‘But he is finally going to try, six months before the elections, saying that we will now set a limit of 2,500 asylum seekers.
“If it exceeds 2,500, if it is 2,501, then we will automatically close the border.
“Fire Marshal Says, ‘No More!’ He comes here and closes the club! And if you don’t have a stamp with you, you won’t get in!’

Maher cited a figure that “more than nine million migrants have entered the US” since Biden took office in January 2021.
He said, “That’s more than the number of people living in Nicaragua. He let in all of Nicaragua.
“The question Democrats can’t seem to answer is: How many are too many? And something like: infinity is the answer. If you don’t answer that, you’re a racist. That is their essential problem with this issue.”
Discussing the executive order, Maher said, “But if the number drops to 1,500, we will resume standard asylum procedures. It’s like peak pricing with Uber.
‘It is a bizarre plan that obviously nobody is happy with. It seems like a last minute thing, it looks like he did nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Then of course he tried it through Congress and the Republicans deliberately promoted that football.
“They didn’t want this bill because they wanted it to be a problem. So they could have solved it themselves. They didn’t. But now it looks like this is his last Hail Mary pass before the election, and it’s not going to work.”
