“People have a lot of preconceptions about me, so TikTok was an opportunity for me to tell my own story and also use the attention my surname could attract to highlight issues that are important to me, such as the health of women and sustainable fashion,” she continued.
As for what her parents think about her online presence, Phoebe said Melinda is “supportive and curious,” while her father is less interested.
“(My mother) understands that social is a space that young people must own and shape. My father posts a lot on social media, but he doesn’t follow it much himself,” she revealed.
