Bill de Blasio and married lover Kristy Stark, who is 20 years his junior, are spotted together during a breakfast date and coffee break after spending days holed up at the former New York mayor's home

Bill de Blasio and his new married lover Kristy Stark were cooped up in the former New York City mayor's Manhattan apartment for days this weekend – as exclusive photos from DailyMail.com reveal.

The couple – who were born more than 20 years apart – headed out together on Saturday to go to a nearby deli, in what appeared to be a covert operation following news of their shocking relationship.

De Blasio, 62, was also seen going back and forth to the eatery alone on Friday, Sunday and Monday mornings, taking two drinks back to his apartment building each time.

During the Saturday excursion, the former NYC leader β€” sporting a younger, dyed hair look β€” wore a blue hoodie, plaid scarf and light blue Nike sneakers as he emerged from his building alone around 11:20 a.m.

He stopped at the end of the block and was texting on his phone, keeping his eyes off the street. Moments later, 42-year-old Stark came over and they went to his favorite breakfast restaurant.

His lover, a mother of two whose husband Owen was at the marital home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with their children, wore a black baseball cap, black boots, sunglasses and a dark top and leggings.

She walked with de Blasio, who kept his hands in the pockets of his hoodie and his expression somber as they walked and talked.

The previous day, the ex-mayor had wrapped himself in a woolen hat, scarf and blue coat to run to the deli, where he returned with two cold drinks in his hand. Sunday's outing was similar, but with lighter clothing.

However, hours after de Blasio was spotted with two drinks and a bag of food during Monday morning's solo deli run, a serious-looking Stark emerged from the apartment building alone with a suitcase.

Dressed in camouflage leggings, the same black cap and holding a beige woolly top, she walked a block from the building, looking at her phone before walking into a waiting SUV.

De Blasio, who divorced his wife Chirlane McCray in July after 30 years of marriage, is listed as an advisor on the website of Stark's education and literacy company MindsEmerge.

Likewise, it could not be confirmed where behavioral scientist Stark went. Her 45-year-old husband would not confirm that she had traveled back to Ann Arbor when contacted by DailyMail.com on Tuesday.

“I can't say,” he said in a desperate voice. “I really can't say anything about it right now.”

Stark opted for another casual look, including black camouflage leggings and the same baseball cap she wore earlier this weekend when she left De Blasio's on Monday with luggage in tow.

Harvard-educated Kristy and de Blasio, mayor from 2014 to 2021, were spotted holding hands on December 13 during an evening walk in Manhattan's No-Ho neighborhood.

In the meantime, she would have told the police New York Post she was 'in the process of getting a divorce'.

Her husband of 12 years at the time said he wanted to save his marriage but didn't know where his wife was – only that they had a brief phone conversation after news of the relationship broke.

'Kristy is still the most wonderful woman I have ever met. β€œThe only thing that ever matters is what she wants,” he told the Post.

'I never impose demands on her. She does what she wants. I don't think this has been going on for very long. They met at some entrepreneurial incubator, it might have been in Boston.”

Democrat de Blasio and his wife have two children. They lived in Brooklyn before announcing their split in July.

The former mayor said they had no plans to divorce but would see other people. He was then seen with several women at bars around the city before his relationship with Stark blossomed.

He taught leadership at Stark's alma mater and in November it was announced he would join the University of Michigan's Ford School of Public Policy faculty in 2024. The college is located in Ann Arbor.

De Blasio shed his graying locks and sported his new, darker hairstyle in photos from DailyMail.com in September, two months after splitting from his 68-year-old wife.

According to witnesses, the former elected official was seen hugging a mystery woman at the top of the Empire State Building as she enjoyed several rounds of cocktails.

He and McCray gave a three-hour interview with the New York Times to reveal their breakup, in which it was revealed that he asked her 'why are you not in love anymore?'

McCray told the outlet in what emerged as a good-humored stupid piece: β€œYou can't fake it. You can sense when things aren't going well… and you don't want to live like that.'

She also said, β€œI just want to have fun. It's not that we didn't have fun.'

He said, “For the guy who took a chance on a woman who was a lesbian and wrote an article called 'I'm a Lesbian,' there was a part of me that sometimes said, 'Hmmm, is this like a lesbian ?' ticking time bomb? Is this something you will regret later? So I've always lived with that stuff.'

After years in the political spotlight, de Blasio went on a brief run in the White House in 2020, but he failed to make it to the Iowa caucuses.

Another political comeback failed last year when he tried to win a seat in Congress, but dropped out before the Democratic primaries.
