Bill Belichick is considered a football mastermind, but he apparently doesn’t have the same social media expertise.
The 72-year-old former Patriots coach joined Instagram earlier this month and spoke on the Pat McAfee Show about a hilarious blunder he made while using the app.
After promoting his “Instaface” account to McAfee viewers, Belichick admitted that he recently accidentally got stuck in a “chat room” on the app.
‘It was tough. “I was just scrolling, I have no idea what I’m doing, and I ended up in a chat room – and couldn’t get out,” he said.
Belichick went on to say that he asked someone named Kobe for help leaving the group before ultimately leaving.

The legendary coach, who parted ways with the Patriots earlier this year, is new to social media as he made his first Instagram post on September 4.
He wrote, “During my career in the NFL, I had built-in opportunities to express myself at a moment’s notice. The circumstances are different now.
“So here I am. I’m (surprisingly) excited to announce my decision to use social media platforms with the intention of connecting directly with fans and audiences. This debut was unthinkable a few months ago, but now it’s exciting!!!’
Since then, Belichick has posted several times, including wishing former quarterback Tom Brady the best of luck in his new broadcast with Fox Sports.

Belichick also posted a note honoring the 2014 Patriots Super Bowl winning team.
Although Belichick didn’t land a head coaching job this offseason, he has been busy with various media jobs within the NFL.
He appears on CW’s Inside the NFL as well as ESPN’s Manningcast every week with Peyton and Eli Manning.
He also launched the podcast “Coach” with Matt Patricia and Michael Lombardi.
