Bill Belichick gives Andy Reid precious advice as he bids to win historic three-peat with the Chiefs
Bill Belichick offered Andy Reid Sound Advice while he prepares for his third Super Bowl appearance in a row and fifth in six years.
The Chiefs of Kansas City are one victory removed from becoming the first team that stands in the way of Threepeat with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Before the big game, Reid spoke with the six-time super bowl champion about closing the performance in the Let’s Go Podcast with Belichick and Jim Gray.
“You don’t really think of all of that until the media ask you,” said Reid. ‘You are just fooled, you try to find the next first down and stop the next team.
‘You are so busy that you might look back when you are retired and you are and go,’ wow, that was something very special. “But at the moment you love the boys, you love the team, try to make the right calls, and so on,” he added.
Belichick then responded with instructions about dealing with the pressure in the brightest phases.

“That’s why you win, Andy,” said Belichick. ‘Don’t look back. Don’t look ahead. Just stay in the moment and keep winning. You are doing great, just stay in the moment. ‘
Belichick came close to winning a Threepeat with the Patriots and won back-to-back titles in 2003 and 2004 before a division round exit in 2005.
Reid noted his 28th play -off victory with the Chiefs after they had led them to the victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC title match last weekend. The victory placed him only three victories removed from Belichick’s record 31 late season triumphs – the most ever for an NFL coach.
The Chiefs coach also has six Super Bowl appearances for the Nine Van Belichick.
Moreover, Reid is confronted with his former team as head coach for the Eagles between 1999-2012.
