Warren Goldfarb is the Walter Beverly Pearson Professor of Modern Mathematics and Mathematical Logic at Harvard University, where he has worked since 1982.

He’s also a bit of a matchmaker, albeit unintentionally.

It was Goldfarb’s book, Deductive Logic, that brought 72-year-old Bill Belichick and his rumored girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, aboard a flight from Boston to Florida for the first time in 2021. Belichick would eventually write the text signing for the then 21-year-old student at Bridgewater State University with a signature that includes references to his six Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots.

The two reportedly bonded over text, exchanged contact information, and have since been seen around Nantucket — something that has satisfied Goldfarb, he said TMZ: ‘I’m very happy to see that logic, so often derided as a dry subject, is finally being recognized for its romantic potential!’

For those unfamiliar with logic as an academic discipline, it’s not exactly romance material.

Logic is the study of how ideas can be put together in many ways, and these concepts are usually represented by variables, resulting in coursework that can look like algebra to the untrained eye.

Goldfarb’s book was published in 2003, when Belichick was on his way to his second Super Bowl title and Hudson was about 2 years old.

On Wednesday, Belichick and Hudson were spotted enjoying his $225,000 motorboat, “VIII Rings,” which is a not-so-modest reference to the six titles he won with the Patriots and two he earned as a defensive coordinator for the New York Giants.

The former NFL head coach is said to have been in a relationship with Jordon Hudson since 2022, after his 16-year relationship with 62-year-old Linda Holliday ended.

She checked her phone while talking to her boyfriend and another male companion before they got into a car together.

Belichick kept his head down while carrying a blanket and a bag while wearing a blue baseball cap, polo shirt and shorts.

Belichick and Hudson stayed at one of his seven lavish properties he owns on the exclusive island, with an estimated value of $3,064,800.

The former Patriots coach also recently purchased a $4.8 million home closer to the cobblestone street in Nantucket.

He currently owns at least seven properties on the island, six of which close together form a complex in Siasconset, with a total value of $15.7 million.

An exact timeline for the reported romance between the two has been elusive. They initially kept it low-key and were only spotted briefly on rare occasions, but TMZ claims Hudson — a competitive cheerleader — secretly visited Gillette Stadium to support Belichick during the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Patriots.

Belichick was spotted advocating for her at a cheerleading competition in Maryland earlier this year.

It has since been revealed that ‘boring Bill’ is dating someone 48 years his junior.

It was previously reported in September that Belichick was divorcing his girlfriend of 16 years, 60-year-old Linda Holliday.
