Bill Barr says he will jump off BRIDGE if Donald Trump wins the GOP 2024 nomination
- Ex-Attorney General Bill Barr is one of dozens of former Trump officials who will not support him in his 2024 race

Only four of former President Donald Trump’s former cabinet members publicly said they would support his re-election in 2024, according to a new report.
Several strongly oppose his campaign, some even working against his bid to become the GOP nominee, and many did not respond to requests for comment on his efforts.
Former Attorney General Bill Barr has some of the harshest words for his ex-boss, to NBC News“I’ve made it clear that I strongly oppose Trump for the nomination and will not support Trump.”
“I’ll jump off that bridge when I get there,” he added when asked how he would vote in the general election if it ends up being a rematch of Trump against President Joe Biden in 2020.
Former Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said, “If anyone can lose to Joe Biden, it’s him.”

Of the 44 people NBC has reached out to and served in Trump’s cabinet, only four publicly support his re-election. This includes former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, his last chief of staff Mark Meadows, former budget chief Russell Vought and former acting director of national intelligence Richard Grenell.
In addition, two former Trump officials are running against him in the GOP primary: ex-Vice President Mike Pence and former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.
Dan Coats, former Trump director of national intelligence, says he supports Pence.
Currently, Trump scores more than 50 percent against more than a dozen other candidates vying for the nomination, according to a FiveThirtyEight tracking. Currently in second place is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with less than 20 percent.
Others who have not supported Trump so far include Mike Pompeo, once Trump’s secretary of state and CIA director; two of his former defense ministers, Mark Esper and Pat Shanahan; a former Chief of Staff John Kelly; and another former Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire.
Right on the other side of his fellow former chief of staff, Mulvaney is among those who want Trump defeated by another GOP candidate in the primary.
“I’m working hard to make sure someone else is the nominee,” Mulvaney told NBC. “I think he’s the Republican most likely to lose in a general election, of all our leaders. If anyone can lose to Joe Biden, it’s him.”
Trump is by far the front-runner in the 2024 Republican primary so far with a 36.9% lead over runner-up Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
Vought tweeted in May that Trump is “the only person I trust to take a wrecking ball to the Deep State.”
“I’ve seen his willingness up close and behind closed doors,” Vought added. “My friend and former boss is going to finish what he started.”
In June, Grenell tweeted “Trump 2024” in response to a tweet from DeSantis, the second runner-up in the Republican primary.
A spokesman for Meadows said the former top aide “fully supports” Trump.
Ben Carson, Trump’s former director of housing and urban development, said in a statement that “Donald Trump is my friend and would be a great president, and if I have to make an announcement about 2024, I look forward to making it in an appropriate manner.” way to do’. way.’
There are 14 GOP candidates against Trump, but so far they have little chance of beating him in the primary. Most polls show Trump at least 30 percent ahead of the field, with DeSantis usually a distant second.
