Big Brother stars Kerry Riches and Narinder Kaur get locked in a fiery debate on whether children should be paid for household chores – so what do YOU think?

Big Brother stars Kerry Riches and Narinder Kaur were involved in a fiery altercation on Friday as they argued over whether children should be paid for helping around the house.

Kerry, a 40-year-old NHS manager from Essex Appeared on Good morning Great Britain to argue that odd jobs should have a financial incentive.

As presenters Charlotte Hawkins and Ben Shephard looked on, Kerry explained how her parents would pay her to do things around the house.

She said: ‘Nothing would fill me with more pride than going to the sweet shop with the £5 note I’ve earned.’

Still, Narinder, 50, fired back: “I don’t want to raise a generation of slobs. You’re paying your kids to do the bare minimum, which they should be doing around the house anyway.”

She added: “You don’t get rewarded for everything you do in life. You have to be part of the community.’

There were no hard feelings between the women, despite the brief debate, as when Ben, 49, pointed out that season two star Narinda and season 20 star Kerry should have been on Big Brother together, Kerry formed a heart-to-heart direction.

Ben ended the segment by reading out the results of GMB’s public Twitter poll on the subject, published before the show started.

The results showed that only 38 percent of viewers agreed with Kerry that children should be paid to help around the house.

That left 62 percent on Karinder’s side: believing that paying children for basic tasks would set a bad precedent for the future.

Ahead of her performance, Kerry took to her Instagram Story to tell her almost 40,000 followers that she ‘can’t wait’ to appear on the ITV programme.

Kerry, the fourth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother, came under fire during her time on the show for making ‘tone deaf’ comments about her salary.

She shocked viewers during a chat with model Zak, 28, food writer Henry, 25, and bartender Jenkin, 25, as they discussed the average salaries of MPs compared to the British population.

Kerry said: “I’m really proud of myself because it’s really hard in the NHS, but I started in Band Two. 21 years ago I earned £7,800 a year…

‘But I don’t feel like paying the higher tax bracket en masse. I don’t think that’s fair.’

Zak then said that the ‘average person earns £20,000 a year’ (although the Office for National Statistics states that the average annual salary for full-time workers was £33,000 in 2022), prompting Jenkin to share his pay battle.

Kerry defended herself in a MailOnline exclusive in November: ‘You forget there are cameras. I’m not in the upper higher (bracket), for example, I work for the NHS, are you kidding me?’

‘I started with £7,800 about 21 years ago and have now progressed into senior management. I’m also proud of where I am and when I was asked, I’m okay with having that conversation.

‘You don’t get anything in the NHS, you work your way up and that’s how you’re respected. This is how you move forward.

“I’m sorry if this upsets anyone, but I’d like people to see past that because I’m a good person.”

Last year, Kerry claimed she was in talks with ITV to star in TOWIE.

She made the revelation during a livestream with her former housemate and good friend Hallie Clarke.

When Hallie asked Kerry during the livestream what she was doing in London, Kerry said: “I’m in a meeting with someone from TOWIE.”

While she didn’t reveal exactly what they discussed, she added, “I have to be careful what I say.” Really exciting, to be honest.’
