Big Brother star Paul Blackburn reveals how his girlfriend reacted to his ‘romance’ with Olivia Young – as he accuses bosses of ‘editing out scenes’
Evicted Big Brother star Paul Blackburn has revealed how his girlfriend reacted to his flirty on-screen behavior with housemate Olivia Young after the pair were dogged by romance rumours.
The security guard, 24, was evicted from the house on Friday and has now revealed he quickly reassured his girlfriend there was nothing romantic going on with the Scottish dancer.
Paul accused bosses of editing crucial scenes that showed he was always thinking about his girlfriend at home and sleeping with her teddy bear every night.
Speak with OK! After leaving the house, Paul said: ‘At home I knew in the back of my mind that my girlfriend and I are very secure in our relationship.
‘You’re allowed to laugh and joke, and as I’ve said to everyone, we Scots and Scousers have always had the same kind of banter. We would always get along.”

No! The security guard was evicted from the house on Friday and has now revealed that he quickly reassured his girlfriend that there was nothing romantic going on with the dancer.
Paul then added that he slept with his girlfriend’s teddy bear every night, but those scenes were removed from the episodes.
“None of that was broadcast, so I feel like it was massively interpreted and the story was pushed on me and her (Olivia) from the beginning,” he said.
“And Olivia and I made it very clear: we would never touch each other, we would never go near each other.
‘We were just friends, there was nothing wrong. We all hugged each other. Matty gave me massages all the time and it was the way we expressed our feelings at home.
‘We found comfort in giving a hug. We were all in it together, we were one big team, it wasn’t as diverse as it seems.’
It comes after Paul admitted he ‘burst into tears’ watching the ITV show following his eviction and was shocked by the negative reaction from the public during his exit.
He also said he missed his boyfriend Tom at home and said he became emotional when he saw the 21-year-old sleeping alone in the bed.
Speaking on Sunday’s Late and Live, he said: ‘Last night I saw it and I cried to death. We had a bromance. He turned around and tried to spoon me both times in the middle of the night.

‘I miss it. I’m back with my girlfriend, but I have to spoon-feed her, so it’s a little different.’
Host AJ Odudu asked him how he felt about being voted out and the boos that greeted him.
Paul admitted, “Generally speaking, no one in the house expected that, least of all myself.
“I went in there to have fun, so I just want everyone to know who everyone in the house is.”
“No one has a story, everyone is very respectful and they are very good people, all of them, so I don’t know why people have certain stories imposed on them.”
He added: “It’s obviously a very intense environment. Coming out as what I came out as, I won’t lie, it was hard to bear. Very, very difficult, especially for a man who advocates for mental health.”
