Big Brother star Nathan King has hit back at viewers’ claims that he ‘lied’ about his time working for King Charles as a teenager, after some doubt was raised about his comments during his time on the show.
The former pork seller, 24, finished in fifth place in the latest series of the ITV show after catching the attention of fans with his outspoken political views, as well as his blossoming romance with housemate Rosie Williams, 29.
Since leaving home earlier this month, Nathan and Rosie’s relationship has continued to blossom, with the former joining his girlfriend at her home in Cornwall, with plans to travel to Scotland to meet his family in the coming days.
And during their first-ever joint interview with MailOnline, Nathan shared his surprise that fans would cast doubt on his previous career after openly discussing it in the house.
He said, ‘How can you lie about that? How could you? There were even articles at the time about me being a butler, like sometimes people are just angry, right?
“I don’t know how they come to these conclusions, why would you go on national television and make up a huge lie.”
Big Brother star Nathan King has hit back at viewers’ claims he ‘lied’ about his time working for King Charles as a teenager, after finding love in the famous house with girlfriend Rosie Williams
The former pork salesman previously shared that as a teenager he worked as a butler at the Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire, the Scottish home of then-Prince Charles.
Rosie chimed in, “And people catch you doing that, so why would you say that?”
Nathan continued, “It’s easy to just look and see, ‘Oh, yeah, he did that,’ but people, I think, are not interested in facts, and more interested in what they can make up. I’m like ”whatever!”
When he first entered the Big Brother house in October, Nathan revealed that as a teenager he worked as a butler at the Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire, the Scottish home of then Prince Charles.
He worked on the estate for a year before moving to another job, and during the live launch he said: ‘He hosts a lot of different dinners with guests. The President of Ireland was there, Alan Titchmarsh and I were going to look after him and if Camilla was there too.’
While Nathan and Rosie’s romance became one of the highlights of this year’s Big Brother, the revelation caught many viewers off guard.
Despite attempts to keep their romance under wraps, with them originally planning a post-series date during a fire evacuation, the truth eventually came to light and viewers saw them grow closer as the weeks progressed.
After making things official in the house, Rosie, who was nicknamed ‘Baked Tattie’ by her boyfriend Nathan, was snatched from him when she was evicted just five days before the final, and the pair were reunited during the live final.
Since leaving Big Brother, the pair have put an end to any speculation that their relationship was a ‘showmance’ and have shared the hope that they can channel their passion for radio by hosting a show together.

Nathan and Rosie’s blossoming romance caught many viewers off guard, but after their secret conversation was revealed, they continued to grow closer as the show developed.

Since leaving home, Nathan and Rosie’s relationship has continued to blossom, with the former joining his girlfriend at her home, with plans to travel to Scotland to meet his family.
Nathan said, “You know what we would like to do, I think we both are, and I know we’re young and we probably shouldn’t do that, but we both love radio.
‘We’ve both always loved radio. I enjoy listening to it. I like the idea of it. And we love music, I’m like an encyclopedia of music and I think that would be great. If we could do something on radio together, that would be incredible. That’s what I was hoping for, I have no idea how to go about it!’
Rosie added: “And it’s really strange because I met someone who really loves radio, who fucking cares about radio even more. I know, but it was like when Nathan said, “Yes, I love radio!” I thought: ‘I love radio!’. I literally had my own radio show, I love it, and that’s something I’m really passionate about.
“So I can’t even believe that someone else younger than me is doing it, that’s so cool! When he asked me about myself, I said, ‘Yes, I like radio a bit, I know it’s kind of boring,’ and he said, ‘No, it’s great!’
Rosie revealed that she had previously worked on her own radio show online, adding: ‘It wasn’t anything big, it was an internet show! It was like on the internet, I talked about it a lot on the show. None of it was shown, but yeah, I really love music.”
Nathan added that he and Rosie are still full steam ahead with plans to start a podcast with housemates Emma Morgan and Sarah Griffiths, adding: ‘I don’t know how to go about that. But wouldn’t that be great if we could? The two of us sit together playing music and chatting. I just don’t think it could get much better than that if people wanted to listen.
“For me personally, I always look at it. You spend a large part of your life working. You have to fucking enjoy what you do, and I think that’s important to me as I move forward. I’m not just going to do something for the sake of it.
“I’m going to do it because I like it, because I enjoy it, and I know not everyone gets that luxury. I don’t want to sound like I have the privilege to say that. But I think it’s so important that you enjoy what you do.
Since the show ended, the pair have put an end to any speculation that their relationship was a ‘showmance’, and shared the hope that they can host a radio show together.
‘And of course we will delve into the whole Tiktok and see what happens there, but I don’t know how that will happen. But yes, ideally, if someone were to give us a radio program together: have a nice day!’
Rosie added: “I’ve always felt like the kind of girl, I’ve done loads of jobs, I’ve literally done so many jobs.
‘Ridiculous amount, like scary amount, I can’t even put them all on a resume. I’ve always done the job you least hate, but lately I’ve been thinking, why do I have that mentality? Why wouldn’t I just do something I enjoy?
“But I feel like it’s also been hard to get certain opportunities, which is kind of like doing what you want. I feel like there are a lot less opportunities now that I know that’s not a good thing to say. So I feel like we’re in a better position.”
Nathan added: “We are now in a position where we can choose our next step. And hopefully I don’t know how it works, which is like, I have plans. But I don’t have any way to actually reach them, but hopefully it comes together, a wing and a prayer!’
