He added that they tried to “ignore” the social media frenzy surrounding their relationship, and just “navigate” it on their own.

Jordan added, “We have that public side of our relationship, but we also have the private side of our relationship, and both sides are important to me, but of course the private side takes precedence.

“But we like to share things with everyone and it’s fun and great to have that support.”

Last month, Jordan took to Instagram to pay tribute to Henry as he reflected on his six-week stint in the house and being crowned series champion.

He wrote: ‘Almost two months have passed… I don’t think it’s healthy to stand still, but it is healthy to think.

‘I don’t have anything scandalous to say about my housemates. A lot of people, after all.

“Never did I expect to talk about my late father or get into a hot tub (especially if I kissed in it) – thank goodness for my dear Henri Sourdough, who is my confidante. And I his, I hope. Well I know.

‘I entered the House of Representatives on a whim and emerged as the winner. Cheap therapy. I would like to thank everyone who supported me along the way and voted for me. As always, watch this space!’

While Henry showed his love for Jordan in the comments section of his post, he echoed his friend’s sentiment in an Instagram post hours later.

He said: ‘I can’t believe it’s been three months since this moment when I walked through the front door of the most iconic house in Britain. It really feels like a fever dream that I went through all that.

‘Rewatching the launch makes me realize how well I hid my nerves on that stage – I was terrified.

‘Little did I know I was about to form some beautiful connections, make the most incredible memories and find a loving boyfriend along the way – it only took me 25 years.

“If anyone is thinking about whether they should sign up this year, I recommend following your gut and going for it. As long as you stay true to yourself, it will be a very positive experience that I wouldn’t change for the world x.”
