Big Brother 2023 evictions: Who has left the house? Everything we know about the first cast member to be kicked off the show

Big Brother returned to viewers’ screens last Sunday, for the first time since 2018, in the highly-anticipated new series which has been rebooted on ITV.

The influential social experiment, in which housemates live together for weeks in a custom-built house with no access to the outside world in a bid to win a cash prize, has reopened its doors.

With new hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best now presenting the show, the pair welcomed a wide range of contestants as 16 Big Brother fans from all walks of life entered the house.

The new series is now in full swing and fans are enjoying the drama, arguments and new iconic moments.

Not everyone can stay, though, and it’s already clear that no one is safe after the first eviction on Friday night.

Back with a bang! Big Brother is back on British TV after a five-year hiatus with the most diverse cast ever, but who has already left the house?

Farida

Farida was the first housemate to be evicted from the hit series of the ITV show on Friday.

The make-up artist was jumping up and down and throwing her arms in the air as she shouted, ‘Yes!’

She continued to hug her housemates before quickly exiting to meet the show’s hosts.

The 50-year-old from Wolverhampton was in favor of eviction against NHS manager Kerry who was left in tears as she waited in suspense for the news to be announced.

An excited Farida said: “I had the most amazing time.” Thank you all for making the effort to come tonight.’

Kerry and Farida have not been able to see eye to eye since entering the house as they clashed over Farida’s work as an online makeup artist.

As Farida discussed her online business offering beauty tips with thousands of followers, an unimpressed Carrie interrupted, asking: ‘To watch you?’.

Before entering the house, Farida said she wanted to represent Muslim women and show that they are not suppressed.

She explained: “I want to let people know that we Muslims are really not suppressed.” I’m far from repressed – I used to be a holiday rep!’

Although she said she had her eyes well and truly on the prize, it seems that’s not the case as she became the first contestant to fall victim to an eviction nomination.

Speaking to hosts AJ and Willa immediately after her eviction, Farida said: ‘I’m fantastic! How many of you would like a week in that house? Well, I’ve been there. It is priceless!

“Kerry really, really wanted to be there. She was in a flood of tears, desperate to stay there. I was quite happy to get out.’

After learning that Hally, Jenkin, Paul, Tom, Henry, Carrie and Olivia all nominated her for eviction for various reasons based on her opinions and behavior in the house, she noted that their views did not matter to her.

She insisted she is not ‘fake’ as some have suggested. She said, “Okay, they’ve known me for five or six days.” Their opinion is not important. I am very true to myself.

“I would never be fake.” That’s what people who know me would say.’

The TikTok star added that she “couldn’t understand” fellow housemate Carrie as she insisted her fellow eviction candidate wouldn’t be someone she would hang out with outside the house.

She said: ‘I couldn’t understand Kerry’s tantrums. She is a 40-year-old, grown woman, and I tried to understand that today.

“She told me she was a drama queen and probably not the type of person to mess with in life because I have a life! If I had another week in the house it would be too much for me!’

Earlier in the episode, the housemates voted for who they wanted to be nominated.

In a major change for this series, contestants were only allowed to vote for one person, reversing a decade of tradition as they voted for two in previous series.

Residents of the show’s famous house were banned from voting for Olivia after she was given immunity after undergoing a secret mission in which she successfully convinced her housemates that she was the least fun of them all.

CHANEL

WHAT ARE YOU MOST NOMINATED FOR? “Probably just because I’m boring. KERRY

PROFESSION: NHS manager

FROM THE: Essex

WHAT MADE YOU APPLY TO BE A BIG BROTHER HOUSEWIFE? ‘I like the program. It is, for me, the ultimate reality TV show ever. It was a bit unachievable because I was in a wheelchair for the first three years of my illness. When I saw that he was coming back and looking for the right people from all walks of life, I thought, this is my year.’
