Biden’s doctor provides update on his health five days after he was last seen when he was diagnosed with COVID
President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 symptoms virtually disappeared five days after he was diagnosed with the virus for the third time, according to White House physician Kevin O’Connor.
Biden has not been seen in five days since being diagnosed with COVID. His first public appearance since dropping out of the race was to release a three-paragraph statement on the police killing of Black woman Sonya Massey.
The latest information about Biden’s condition comes amid speculation and conspiracies circulating online that the president is either sicker than is being reported, or is incapacitated or dead.
“His symptoms have almost completely resolved,” O’Connor wrote in the latest update on Biden’s recovery.
He insisted: “The President continues to perform all of his presidential duties.”
There is speculation that something is amiss in the White House and that Biden may not be behind the decision to end his re-election campaign.

White House physician Kevin O’Connor released a letter Monday with the latest update on Biden’s medical condition, claiming that “his symptoms have almost completely resolved”
Republicans are now demanding ‘proof of life’ from Biden after he withdrew from the race in a letter on social media.
Biden was last seen arriving in Delaware on Wednesday after being pulled from the campaign trail after being diagnosed with the coronavirus while touring Nevada.
The 81-year-old president announced the end of his campaign in a one-page note he sent to X on Sunday.
“I will speak to the nation more fully about my decision later this week,” Biden wrote in the letter.
Vice President Kamala Harris arrived at the White House on Monday, but there are still no photos of Biden.
Donald Trump said Biden’s illness was a ploy by Democrats to get him off the campaign trail and out of the race. The former president wrote on his Truth Social account: ‘Biden never had Covid. He is a threat to democracy!’
And Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent 2024 presidential candidate, says Vice President Harris helped cover up Biden’s decline before withdrawing.
“The perception here is that President Biden has been forced out,” RFK Jr. told Fox News, calling Harris “the great cover-up man.”
“Kamala had a lot of explaining to do, because she saw the president every day,” he continued. “She told the American public, ‘He’s perfectly capable of running the country, there’s no sign of decline, there’s no sign of cognitive impairment.’ That was clearly not true.”
Republicans, including Rep. Lauren Boebert, are raising doubts about Biden’s health and whether he voluntarily stepped down as president
Vice President Kamala Harris arrived at the White House for a meeting with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, where she delivered a speech while President Joe Biden remained undercover
Although Biden promises to address the nation, Republicans are still skeptical about his health and are demanding that he personally confirm his decision to withdraw by the end of the day on Monday.
“I demand that Joe Biden provide proof that he is still alive by 5pm today,” Rep. Lauren Boebert posted on X on Monday.
“He needs to go on camera and discuss whether he knows he’s dropped out,” the Colorado Republican wrote. “Hideaway is completely unacceptable.”
Harmeet Dhillon, a Republican National Committee member from California, wrote on X: “Does anyone else here want to know where President Biden is and what his current health status is?”
And journalist Glenn Greenwald, a left-wing opponent of Biden, posted a message on the social media site calling it “strange and wrong” that Biden has yet to make a televised announcement.
“I don’t endorse Biden’s conspiracies, but still: it is strange and wrong that Biden said nothing, given the historic scale of his announcement,” Greenwald wrote.
“It’s bizarre that a president would resign via a tweet and then disappear. If he’s good enough to decide, he’s good enough to speak.”
Biden was last seen disembarking from Air Force One in Dover, Delaware, on Wednesday evening after testing positive for COVID-19.
Biden’s health was ultimately the reason his campaign ended, after a disastrous debate with Donald Trump, 78, last month left speculation rife about his fitness for office.
Concerns only grew when the president’s younger brother said this was grounds for resignation.
“I’m incredibly proud of my brother. Selfishly, I’m going to get him back to enjoy whatever time we have left,” Frank Biden told CBS News.
Biden’s first action after dropping out of the race was to release a statement about the death of young Black mother Sonya Massey at the hands of police.
“Sonya called police because she was concerned about a potential intruder. When we call for help, as Americans, we should all be able to do so, no matter who we are or where we live, without fear for our lives,” Biden’s statement said.
“Sonya’s death at the hands of a responding officer reminds us that Black Americans too often face fear for their safety, while many of us do not.”
He insisted: ‘Sonya’s family deserves justice. I am saddened for her children and her entire family as they deal with this unthinkable and senseless loss.’
Small business owner Steve Ferguson demanded, “We need proof of life.”
Harmeet Dhillon, a Republican National Committee member from California, shared her thoughts on X
National Reviews writer and podcast host Jeff Blehar also shared his skepticism about the way Biden ended his campaign on Sunday
Harris, who was seen arriving at the White House Monday morning, wrote on X: “It’s the first full day of our campaign so I’ll be heading to Wilmington, DE later to say ‘hi’ to our staff at headquarters.”
“One day down. 105 to go. Together we’re going to win this,” she added.
Ryan Fournier, executive director of Students for Trump, responded to the tweet: “Is Joe Biden still alive?”
“Joe Biden has not been seen in public since boarding a plane on Friday in very frail health,” wrote Jeff Blehar, podcast host and writer for National Review.
“He rescinded the nomination in a poorly written statement that was clearly written by a subordinate,” Blehar continued in his X-post. “He only ‘supported’ Kamala Harris in a tweet (A TWEET) that was later sent out from a social media account (!) that he does not control or use.”
“He hasn’t been seen in public since,” he continued. “Kamala Harris is speaking this morning before he’s explained to the American people why he’s stepping down.”
‘He’s in a precarious position now, I’m guessing. How precarious? You can guess that for yourself.’
