Top Republicans in the House and Senate accuse President Joe Biden of being involved in a bribery scheme to gain access to a foreigner when he was vice president, and are seeking FBI document following “serious and detailed allegations” from a whistleblower which they say implies the sitting president.
Senator Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., issued a subpoena Wednesday to the FBI demanding an unclassified document alleging that they were then-Deputy linking President Biden to a bribery scheme involving a foreigner.
In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray obtained Wednesday by DailyMail.com, leading Republicans say they are seeking access to an internal “FBI-generated FD-1023 form” because of “credible” whistleblower revelations. .
The form reportedly describes an “arrangement” between Biden and a foreigner for an exchange of money for policy decisions, they say.
“We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures. Based on those revelations, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form detailing an alleged criminal scheme involving the then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national regarding the exchange of money for policy decisions,” the senators write.

Grassley said he believes the “FBI has an unclassified internal document that contains very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current president of the United States.”
“It is alleged that the document contains an accurate description of how the alleged criminal scheme was used and its purpose.”
“Based on the purported specificity of the document, it appears that the DOJ and FBI have sufficient information to determine the truth and accuracy of the information contained in the document. However, it remains unclear what steps, if any, have been taken to investigate the matter. The great public interest in assessing the FBI’s response to this information, as well as the growing concern about the DOJ and the FBI’s track record in allowing political bias to infect their decision-making process, necessitate demanding congressional oversight .’
“The DOJ and FBI appear to have valuable, verifiable information that you have not disclosed to the American people. Therefore, Congress will continue to conduct an independent and objective review of this matter, free from the influence of those agencies.”
Grassley said in a statement accompanying the subpoena on Wednesday, “We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document containing very serious and detailed allegations involving the current president of the United States.”

According to the subpoena, Wray has until May 10 to turn over the documents.
The subpoena specifically directs the FBI director to produce “all FD-1023 forms, including within any open, closed, or restricted file, created or moderated as of June 2020, that contain the term “Biden,” including all associated attachments and documents to those FD-1023 forms.”
