Biden’s campaign says it raised $38 million in the four days following the debate
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign claims to have raised $38 million in the four days following his performance in the car crash debate against Donald Trump.
In its second-quarter fundraising figures, the Biden-Harris campaign said it raised $264 million between April and June.
The proceeds, it said, include the campaign’s largest fundraising month yet, with $127 million raised in June.
This election is a close one and the stakes could not be higher – that is why today’s fundraising is so important. It will ensure we reach and mobilize the voters who will decide this election every day.
Biden campaign tells donors funds will go to Kamala Harris if he withdraws
Biden’s campaign has reportedly told donors that their money would go to Kamala Harris if the president drops out of the race.
That would be a huge boost for Kamala, who was hardly at the top of the list to replace the president despite being second in line.
She has been struggling with low approval ratings for months and voters are not enthusiastic about her position at the top of the list.
Exclusive: Major Democratic donors threaten to pull the plug if Biden doesn’t step down, as furious party insiders reveal ‘worst fears’ about ailing president have now been confirmed
Growing Democratic outrage over president Joe BidenThursday evening’s noticeably weak debate performance seems to be turning into a full-blown party revolt.
“For Biden’s own good and the good of the country, he should step aside immediately,” major Democratic donor and former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson told DailyMail.com. “The fact that it’s now three days later and Biden has done nothing to reassure us confirms my worst fears.”
Tilson has donated more than $300,000 to the party in recent years.
Days after the president struggled to maintain his train of thought and drifted into unintelligible babble midway through his answer during the CNN debate, its left-wing benefactors are still in turmoil.
