Furious Biden staffer unleashes on Kamala Harris and the Democrats for turning on sitting president

An angry former Biden aide has blamed Kamala Harris and the Democratic party for their election loss.

MSNBC’s Symone Sanders-Townsend appeared on Morning Joe on Wednesday to discuss President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory.

The former adviser to President Biden and Harris said Biden’s ouster from the election was one of the reasons Harris lost the election.

“The people who said Joe Biden was the problem… Where’s my camera?” Sanders-Townsend said:

“I just want to note that it’s probably not the best idea that the Democrats orchestrated a stabbing, a proverbial stabbing in the presence of the sitting President of the United States of America, and then failed to use him in his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania !’

Biden dropped out of the 2024 conference in July after facing pressure from the party following a disastrous debate against Trump and questions about his cognitive skills.

Trump was elected the 47th president on Wednesday, an extraordinary comeback for a former president who refused to accept defeat four years ago, sparked a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, was convicted of a felony and survived two assassination attempts.

With a victory in Wisconsin, Trump secured the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.

He won Michigan on Wednesday afternoon, sweeping the “blue wall” along with Pennsylvania — the former Democratic-leaning swing states that all went for Trump in 2016 before flipping to Biden in 2020.

While Harris focused much of her initial message on themes of joy, Trump channeled a powerful sense of anger and resentment among voters.

He tapped into frustrations over high prices and fears of crime and migrants entering the country illegally under Biden’s watch. He also highlighted wars in the Middle East and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to portray Democrats as leaders of — and encourage — a world in chaos.

It was a formula that Trump perfected in 2016, when he cast himself as the only person who could solve the country’s problems, often borrowing language from dictators.

The vice president, who has not appeared in public since the race was called, was scheduled to speak Wednesday afternoon at Howard University, where her supporters gathered for a watch party Tuesday evening with the results still in doubt.

Trump’s victory against Harris, the first woman of color to lead a major party, marks the second time he has defeated a female rival in a general election. Harris, the current vice president, rose to the top of the ticket after Biden dropped out of the race amid alarm about his old age.

Despite an initial surge of energy around her campaign, she struggled to convince disillusioned voters during a compressed timeline that she represented a break with an unpopular government.
