President Joe Biden appeared to struggle to get off the podium after a speech in Pittsburgh.
After finishing his speech, Biden, 79, was seen turning right to leave the podium as he stopped to speak to his team and raised his hands in the question.
Shortly after, he turns and exits on his left.
He stopped in Pittsburgh to watch the progress of the reconstruction of the $25.3 million Fern Hollow Bridge. The bridge collapsed in January, injuring 10 and swallowing several cars.
The reconstruction of the bridge should be completed by the end of the year, a feat Biden labeled as impressive.
“Normally you need two to five years to rebuild such a bridge,” Biden said. “God willing, I’ll come walk on this bum for Christmas.”

He stopped in Pittsburgh to watch the progress of the reconstruction of the $25.3 million Fern Hollow Bridge and to praise his infrastructure bill.
He also touted his $1 trillion infrastructure bill, which will help 2,500 other bridges and is said to be the largest package since Eisenhower’s interstate system.
Seven other bridges in Pennsylvania need repair, according to Trib Live.
“Pittsburgh is a city of bridges, but too many of them are in bad shape,” Biden said. “It should never have come to this.”
Before arriving in Pennsylvania, he made a rare stop to talk to reporters before he left — but instead of just answering questions, the president berated journalists who asked about his campaign stops and abortion restrictions.
One reporter was called a “child,” while the president told another to “educate themselves.”
Biden, who along with Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman, left for events in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ran to the line of reporters gathered for his departure, and shouted over the sounds of Marine One as he gave the reporters answers. .
“John Fetterman will appear with you in Pennsylvania today, but there haven’t been that many candidates campaigning with you —” CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang began.
Biden cut her off and leaned forward, yelling over the sounds of Marine One to say, “That’s not true!”
“It’s been 15,” he insisted. “Count, boy, count!”
When asked if he would campaign with more candidates ahead of the November 8 midterm elections, Biden answered yes.
Biden switched to Pro-life EWTN White House correspondent Owen Jensen, who asked if he supports “absolute restrictions on abortion.”
“Yes, there should be,” replied Biden, a staunch Catholic.
“What should they be?” Jensen pushed.
“It’s Roe versus Wade. Read it, dude. You get an education,” the president said.
The Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973 did not impose any restrictions on abortion at the federal level, but rather made the issue a protected medical decision to be made between a woman and her doctor.
States have been pushing for years to add restrictions of their own — and in June, Roe v. Wade was quashed by the Supreme Court, leaving abortion laws to states to decide.
Biden seemed lost as he began to walk off the podium after his remarks at the Global Fund Conference in New York before abruptly stopping, turning and looking around the room in confusion.
Many have also pointed to Biden’s accident in August, when he struggled for nearly a minute to put on his suit jacket — and continued to have problems, even with the help of First Lady Jill Biden.
Despite involvement with reporters outside the White House, it’s not uncommon for the president to need a little direction.
In late September, Biden appeared to have ruined a similar podium after giving a UN speech.
When there was applause, the president began to walk off the podium before stopping abruptly and looking around with a look of confusion on his face.
The president also fell to the ground from his bicycle while riding in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in June 2022.
He then appeared to be asking people on the floor how to get off the stage and took a few stuttering steps.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz called the scene “terrifying” on Twitter, and his communications adviser Steve Guest added in his own tweet: “Joe Biden is completely lost on stage. Scary and sad.’
The clip of the awkward sidesteps went viral on social media as another example of doubts about Biden’s physical and mental fitness for the presidency. In September, during his 60 Minutes interview, Biden shot down suggestions that he was too old or unfit to run again in 2024 — saying, “Look at me.”

Biden also had an ugly accident while biking near his Rehoboth Beach vacation in Delaware, where he fell off his bike and fell to the ground.
