Biden jokes about not taking questions for 40 days saying he’s giving up the PRESS for lent: Joe shows no love to reporters on Valentine’s Day after White House refused to say when he’ll next face the media

There was love in the air at the White House on Wednesday night — except between President Joe Biden and the press.

The president and first lady Jill Biden made a surprise appearance on the North Lawn around dinner time to view this year’s Valentine’s Day decorations — two large Valentine’s Day cards and an oversized box of conversation hearts decorated with the White House logo.

Dr. Biden has put on a Valentine’s Day show every year her husband has been in office.

Reporters asked the president, a devout Catholic, what he planned to give up for Lent, which began Wednesday.

“You guys,” the president replied.

When President Joe Biden was asked on the North Lawn of the White House on Wednesday evening what he was giving up for the loan, he told reporters “you guys.”

He then answered a question about Wednesday’s mass shooting in Kansas City, saying he was getting “more information” about the incident as it came in.

The criticism of journalists comes after Thursday’s heated press conference in which 81-year-old Biden lashed out at reporters for questioning his memory and voters’ concerns about his age.

The surprise meeting followed the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report of classified documents, which said a jury would likely view Biden as a “well-meaning, older man with a poor memory.”

“I mean well, I’m an older man and I know what the fuck I’m doing,” Biden accused reporters. ‘I have been president. I put this country back on its feet. I don’t need his recommendation.’

Allies of the president were quick to point out that Hur, who was appointed special counsel by Attorney General Merrick Garland, was initially appointed by Trump.

When asked ‘how bad is your memory?’ the president responded.

“Look, my memory hasn’t improved – my memory is fine. My memory: Look what I’ve done since I became president. None of you thought I could make it through the things I was given. How did that happen?’ he asked sarcastically. “You know, I guess I just forgot what was going on.”

Biden also told reporters “that’s your judgment” as public opinion polls emerged showing concerns about his advanced age and his ability to be effective in a second term.

Later in the back and forth, Biden made another gaffe by saying that the president of Egypt was the leader of “Mexico.”

Additional reporting released Wednesday revealed that Hur never directly questioned Biden about the death of his son Beau, as the president claimed during Thursday’s news conference.

“How on earth does he dare bring that up?” Biden seethed. “Honestly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it was none of their damn business.”

This is reported by NBC News that during Hur’s five-hour interview with the president on Oct. 8, it was Biden who brought up Beau’s death in 2015.

Earlier Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would not reveal when Biden might face next questions.

The day before, the president made a brief statement on the Senate’s passage of the bipartisan supplemental funding bill, which is currently stalled in the Republican Party-led House.

“I’m not going to answer any questions, but I will tomorrow or the day after,” the president said.

When asked during Wednesday’s briefing what Biden was talking about, Jean-Pierre replied: “I have nothing to share at this time.”

“As you know, the president answers questions to all of you, but I often have nothing on the public agenda to speak with,” Jean-Pierre said.

The journalist then asked whether the White House staff was looking for more opportunities for the president to answer questions.

“We’re always trying to find ways for him to be involved with all of you, he’s clearly taking initiative a lot of the time, whether it’s on the South Lawn, whether it’s on the road, whether it’s here at the White House asking questions reply From all of you, I just don’t have anything planned to talk about right now,” Jean-Pierre continued.

The press secretary added that “we’ll see if anything comes up on his schedule.”

“You asked me yesterday and I’m always very, very careful about that,” she said. ‘It’s Valentine’s Day. He wants to share his love with all of you. I just don’t have anything.’
