Biden, Jill, Kamala and Doug will hit America’s richest cities to beg for campaign cash
It’s all hands on deck for Team Biden over the next two weeks as Joe, Jill, Kamala and Doug head to America’s richest cities to raise much-needed campaign cash ahead of the crucial June 30 fundraising deadline.
The four will cross the country hitting wealthy neighborhoods in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Aspen, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
President Joe Biden’s campaign has so far not disclosed details of how much money it has raised, but it will have to do so after June 30, the end of the second-quarter fundraising deadline.
The team of four will have no problem raising money – the question is can they put out an impressive first issue when they finally release the total.
A strong number could put to bed the lingering questions about whether Democrats fully support Biden given previous concerns about his age. He is the oldest president ever elected. If he wins a second term, he’d be 86 when it’s over.
The four are doing nearly two dozen fundraisers before the end of the month to fill the campaign coffers.
First lady Jill Biden kicked off this week with a three-day trip to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, where she attended multiple fundraisers and Donald Trump lashed out at donors.
At her performance in Manhattan, she denounced Trump supporters for supporting the former president through his federal indictment.
“They don’t care about the charges. So that’s a bit shocking I think,” she said according to telereporters who attended the event.
Jill Biden also made a donor appeal in Washington DC on Thursday night with actress Eva Longoria.
President Joe Biden heads to San Francisco on Monday and also has fundraising drives in Chicago and New York on his schedule. He also goes to Chevy Chase, Md., an affluent Washington DC suburb.
Vice President Kamala Harris will seek donors in Denver and Dallas, while Doug Emhoff will do the same in Aspen.
The Biden campaign states that they are focused on “a range of statistics.” Fundraising is important, of course, but we’re really starting to grow and get to grips with our message. And our campaign message has been a big part of this from the beginning,” an official told DailyMail.com.
The campaign declined to provide the other stats or their internal fundraising goals.
The Biden campaign has some benefits, including joint fundraising agreements with all 50 state parties.
In addition, Biden is expected to easily win his party’s nomination and – unlike the Republicans – will not have to go through a bruise and expensive primary process.
“As MAGA Republicans burn money in their primaries competing for whose agenda is the most extreme, the president’s campaign will benefit from the opportunity to raise significant resources that will help expand our winning Biden coalition for 2020” Biden-Harris campaign manager Julie Said Rodriguez said in a statement to DailyMail.com.
“Combined with our robust grassroots fundraising network, a campaign has never had more powerful fundraising resources with a longer runway, and with freedom and democracy at stake in this election – we intend to use them,” she said.

Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff will also be out raising money in the coming weeks
Shortly after Biden announced in April that he would seek a second term, donors expressed concern that he was not doing enough to raise the billions needed to run a modern presidential campaign.
The Biden campaign planned to release fundraising totals 48 hours after Biden’s official announcement, a source told Bloomberg News. That song was never released.
And the Four Principles have raised some money since Biden announced his re-election bid.
Biden attended two fundraisers last month in New York and one in Las Vegas. Harris has raised money in Atlanta and New York.
President Biden, Jill Biden, Harris and Emhoff have all sent emails and texts to supporters asking for financial support.
Republican candidates, meanwhile, have boasted about their ability to raise money as they compete against each other for the GOP presidential nomination.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis raised $8.2 million in fundraising during the 24 hours after running for president, his campaign announced.
And Donald Trump raised $7 million in the 24 hours after he was indicted on federal charges related to his possession of a classified document.
