Biden is interrupted at least 11 TIMES by pro-Palestinian protesters as abortion rights speech in Virginia with Kamala, Jill and Doug Emhoff descends into chaos

President Joe Biden fired up Democrats at a “Restore Roe” rally in Northern Virginia on Tuesday, hoping to address the issue that has kept Democrats competitive — but was repeatedly interrupted by anti-Israel protesters.

Biden planned a camera-ready event in which he and other speakers took direct and repeated shots at Donald Trump as the Republican presidential nomination was on the line in the New Hampshire primary.

One by one, protesters interrupted him, forcing the president to pause his remarks as security removed them from the venue, which was decorated with pro-choice signs and spotlights.

‘This is going to take a while. They planned this,” Biden said in frustration after the seventh such interruption.

He was joined by the audience, who shouted “Four more years!” chanted. and ‘Let’s go Joe!’ after the interruptions, during which he was repeatedly accused of ‘genocide’.

“Please don’t jump!” Biden joked after the tenth interruption, by a woman holding a sign about Gaza during Israel’s war against Hamas.

Another protester shouted about “keeping baby food from babies” and called it a war crime, referring to the fighting in Gaza after the Israeli invasion following the October 7 Hamas attack in Israel.

It was a demonstration of the difficulties Biden must overcome as he tries to unite his party’s base amid a growing challenge from Trump. Polls show support among younger voters is slipping and there is little support for his handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The event was carefully planned by a forward-thinking team, and timed just as the national media was focusing on Trump’s matchup with Nikki Haley in New Hampshire.

Biden wasn’t even present for voting in the first-in-the-nation contest in New Hampshire after shuffling the party calendar to make South Carolina the first contest endorsed by the Democratic Party.

But Tuesday’s event made it clear that the campaign was still very much on his mind, as his campaign team packed a room in Manassas, filled a stage with mostly young female voters and erected a large “RESTORE ROE” banner to mark the 51st anniversary. of Roe v. Wade.

Amid polls showing low public approval ratings for Biden and lower enthusiasm for him among Democrats than Trump enjoys among Republicans, the crowd in Virginia cheered for “Four more years!”

In her own remarks, Jill Biden told a story about visiting and sheltering a friend who had an abortion after her friend became pregnant in high school. She said the friend was asked to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before a Pennsylvania doctor performed the procedure.

She said she asked her mother, “Can she come stay with us?” My mother didn’t hesitate. Of course she can. And my mother never told anyone. Actually, we never talked about it again.
