Biden grandchildren pay for their share of Italy’s G7 trip with the president, which includes a ride on Air Force One and a stay at a $1,000-a-night resort

Joe Biden’s grandchildren will pay for their share of the trip to Italy, where they joined the president at the G7 conference and stayed with him at his expensive resort.

Naomi Biden, her husband Peter Neal, Maisy Biden and Finnegan Biden all accompanied the president on his trip. They hitched a ride on Air Force One and stayed with him in the faux-medieval resort of Borgo Egnazia, where rooms can cost $1,000 a night.

“Historically, family members of presidents often accompanied them on their trips. Current practices are consistent with those of previous governments. They will cover any additional personal expenses,” a White House official told DailyMail.com.

Taxpayers pay for the president to travel and stay where security requires.

For those not covered by government coverage, the military typically charges the cost of a first-class ticket to travel on Air Force One. The grandchildren – the three eldest daughters of Biden’s son Hunter – would pay for those flight costs and for their rooms at the resort.

The grandchildren remained out of sight for most of the two days in Italy.

Only Finnegan was seen boarding Air Force One for the eastbound flight, while none of them were pictured leaving the plane once it landed.

However, Peter Neal, Finnegan and Maisy were at President Biden’s press conference on Thursday evening. They sat in the front row and watched him answer questions about Ukraine, the Middle East and Hunter Biden’s felony conviction.

Naomi Biden has remained behind closed doors amid speculation that she is pregnant.

At his news conference, Biden reiterated his vow not to pardon his son in his first public comments about Hunter since last week’s ruling. Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison for his 2018 gun purchase.

He also said he was confident his son received a fair trial and reiterated his support for him.

“I am extremely proud of my son Hunter. He has overcome an addiction. He’s one of the smartest, most decent men I know. And I’m satisfied that I’m not going to do anything. I said I would abide by the jury’s decision. I will do that. And I will not pardon him,” Biden said.

And he simply said “no” when asked directly if he would commute Hunter’s sentence.

Meanwhile, Naomi Biden has been active online during the trip.

She posted a photo of Neal and an unidentified male friend at the luxury resort where the president is staying on her Instagram Stories. She is not visible in the photo.

I call it ‘mis amores!!!’ (Italian for ‘my loves’), the photo shows Neal and the friend sitting on lounge chairs, with a plate of fruit nearby. It looks like the photo was taken near a swimming pool. Olive trees stand in the background against a lush, blue sky.

The Biden clan is staying in the luxurious faux-medieval resort of Borgo Egnazia, which has hosted the likes of Justin Timberlake and Madonna. Timberlake married actress Jessica Biel there in 2020.

A developer built the entire city, modeled on a 15th-century village. It features modern pools, views of olive groves, coastal scenes and a ‘chic farmhouse’ interior, with suites priced at $2,000.

There are even rescue donkeys on site for guests’ entertainment.

The total cost of the project was $160 million and took years to complete.

All of Hunter Biden’s adult children are at the resort with their grandfather (first lady Jill Biden would never attend the G7).

Naomi, 30, testified at Hunter’s trial.

She was called to testify on his behalf, where she painted a rosy picture of Hunter’s sobriety leading up to his October 2018 gun purchase, for which he was indicted.

But the prosecutor read text messages between her and her father that contradicted what she said.

Naomi staggered under the ambush and said, “I don’t remember any of this.”

She looked on the verge of tears and wiped one eye as she walked out after hugging her father.

She was dressed all in black, with a black jacket over dark, baggy clothing.

There is speculation that she is pregnant with her current husband Peter’s child.

The couple has not made a formal announcement, but sources in the room said it was “the talk of the state dinner” last month.

Naomi should appear before the November elections.

It’s a short trip to Italy for the meetings with international leaders.

Biden will leave for Los Angeles, where Hunter lives, on Friday evening. He will attend a fundraiser there on Saturday evening with Jimmy Kimmel, George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

It is expected that the grandchildren will travel with him to Los Angeles.
