The White House confirmed that President Joe Biden did not take a cognitive test during his annual physical on Wednesday, insisting he has “no need to do so.”

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed concerns that the 81-year-old is not fit for a second term and praised his record.

“Given that there has been so much research … why doesn’t he just have his doctor administer the test,” a reporter asked after Biden went to Walter Reed for his annual health check.

“I’m fine, everything is fine,” he told reporters after making brief remarks. “No, there’s nothing different from last year,” he also revealed.

The White House said a report on the physical situation would be released sometime Wednesday.

Polls have shown for months that a majority of Americans doubt whether Biden can be effective during a second term, which would end when he is 86 years old.

During last year’s assessment by White House physician Kevin O’Connor, the doctor said Biden remained “fit for duty.”
