President Joe Biden is warning that he does not believe former President Donald Trump will concede the 2024 presidential election if he loses in November.

Biden made the comments in a rare Oval Office interview with the New Yorker as he faces a likely rematch with Trump in the general election and trails the Republican frontrunner in a series of recent polls.

“Losers who are losers are never graceful,” Biden said. “I just think he’ll do whatever he can to try to win.”

Biden said he thinks if he wins, Trump will contest it “regardless of the outcome.”

Trump has long claimed he won the 2020 election, despite losing the Electoral College vote and the popular vote for Biden by more than 7 million votes.

Biden gave a rare Oval Office interview to the New Yorker in which he said he believes Trump will not concede the election if he loses in November, declaring that “losers who are losers are never graceful.”

Last weekend, Trump continued to rail against the results of the last presidential election before a crowd of supporters at a rally in North Carolina.

But the ex-president and his legal team have failed for years to produce a single piece of substantive evidence to support their claims of election fraud or interference, while the former president faces criminal charges for election interference in Georgia and the attack on 6 January. .

During his campaign, Trump has praised the convicted rioters who took part in the Jan. 6 attack, calling them “hostages.”

A recent CBS News poll found that a majority of respondents believe the losing party will resort to violence after losing in future presidential elections.

According to the New Yorker, things are not sitting well with Biden, but he is convinced that Americans will.reject the Trumpist view of politics.”

“How can we as a democracy elect someone as president who says violence is appropriate?” Biden said in the interview.

According to the latest polls, Trump is leading Biden in a close potential rematch, despite Biden presiding over a booming economy and having a string of legislative victories to his name from his first term.

Biden has wondered whether he could reach voters who were less likely to hold Trump accountable for Jan. 6 or believe Biden had actually won — and answered the question with his own bold prediction.

“First of all, remember when you guys told me in 2020 that I wouldn’t win? And then you told me in 2022 how it was going to be this red wave?’ Biden said. ‘And I told you there wouldn’t be a red wave. And in 2023 you told me we’re going to get our ass kicked again? And we won every race contested.”

Biden said he thinks the same thing will happen in 2024.

As Biden has continued his campaign for a second term, some Democrats have expressed frustration at having no other option for the 81-year-old who previously branded himself as a “transition candidate” in 2020.

When asked by the New Yorker if there was ever a time when he doubted whether to run again, Biden said no.

‘IIf I thought the policies I put in place weren’t the best for the country, I don’t think I would do them again. I’m going to run again because I think two things: Number 1, I’m really proud of my record and I want to keep it going. I am optimistic about the future.’

He argued that most of what he has done is “just beginning.”
