Biden claims Trump ‘must have’ also injected bleach when he told Americans it was a way to treat COVID: Donors laugh Joe as mocks his 2024 rival and ramps up personal attacks

President Joe Biden mocked Donald Trump’s suggestion during the COVID pandemic to inject bleach, joking that the former president must have done it himself.

“Remember when he told people to inject bleach. He must have done it,” Biden told a crowd of trial lawyers at a fundraiser in Houston on Thursday.

He also noted that Trump “told us to hit the body with UV light, and I’m confident he does.”

The crowd roared with applause.

Biden has made Trump his top target when he speaks to his supporters in private homes to raise money for his re-election campaign.

Trump made his comments in April 2020 about the use of bleach and UV light.

“So suppose we hit the body with a tremendous force – whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light – and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said, suppose you bring the light into the body, which you can do through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that too. It sounds interesting,” he said at the time.

“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. A minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection from within or almost a clean-out? Because you see it get into the lungs, and it does a tremendous job on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that,” the former president said at the time.

Trump did not explicitly recommend taking a disinfectant such as bleach. But that’s what his comments seemed to suggest, leading many medical authorities to warn people not to do so.

Meanwhile, Biden had three fundraisers in Texas on Wednesday and Thursday, raising millions for his 2024 campaign.

The focus of the majority of his comments was Trump.

During his two fundraisers in Dallas Wednesday night, Biden mocked Trump’s massive legal debts and labeled Ted Cruz a “loser” as he asked Texans for their support.

“The other day this defeated-looking man came up to me and said, ‘Mr. Mr President, I need your help. I have enormous debts. I’m completely wiped out.”

Biden said he responded, “Donald, I’m sorry. I can not help you.’

The crowd of about 100 people erupted in laughter and applause.

Trump’s legal debts could reach nearly half a billion dollars.

In New York, a judge ordered Trump to pay a $355 million fine, plus interest, after ruling that he manipulated his assets in financial statements. The state could seize his property if Trump cannot pay.

New York Attorney General Letitia James noted that the interest payments totaled $99 million and would “continue to rise every day until paid.”

The former president was also ordered to pay $83.3 million to writer E. Jean Carroll for damaging her reputation after she accused him of sexual assault.

Biden spent most of the night tearing apart the opposition.

He asked the crowd not only to elect him, but to send the Democratic senatorial candidate to Washington so that Republican Senator ‘Ted Cruz will join another loser, Donald Trump.’

Biden, 81, noted that there was a lot of talk about his and Trump’s ages.

“I’m 41,” Biden joked as the crowd laughed.

But Biden added, “it’s about the age of our ideals.”

The president also blasted Trump for the problems at the border and blamed his rival for the mess.

‘Trump has not only brought chaos to the Americans. He also brought chaos to the U.S. border,” Biden said.

He accused the former president of trying to kill a bipartisan border bill in Congress by speaking out against it. It passed the Senate, but House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to bring it up after Trump announced his opposition.

“Unlike Trump, I am not going to demonize immigrants,” Biden said.

Biden is campaigning in the Southwest to keep the battleground states of Nevada and Arizona in his corner.

The incumbent president won both states in the 2020 election, but Trump currently leads in the polls there.

Biden will end his trip with a fundraiser in Texas. He has another one in Houston on Thursday.
