Biden and Lauren Boebert in war of words as president heads to her Colorado district: Republican firebrand claims her constituents are suffering under ‘Bidenomics’ and says Joe should spend less time on vacation

President Joe Biden is hammering Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert during a trip to her home state and Colorado district, even as she struggles to catch up on her MAGA ally Donald Trump’s poll numbers.

The president previewed his offensive line for his trip to Pueblo, Colorado Tuesday night during a big-dollar fundraiser. He raised her comments, calling his signature infrastructure bill “garbage” and “wasteful.”

“The congresswoman, along with all her Republican colleagues, voted against the law — and then vowed to repeal it,” Biden said. She called it a ‘huge failure.’

“I think it’s pretty incredible,” Biden told supporters. To underscore this point, he plans to visit CS Wind, the country’s largest manufacturer of wind turbines, a company he believes is benefiting from the law.

The personality clash puts a new twist on Biden’s repeated trips around the country touting “Bidenomics” and the infrastructure bill, even as Americans continue to take a bleak view of the economy despite continued job growth.

The White House longs for the contrast, viewing it on a flight to Denver, where Biden was raising money after attending services for Rosalynn Carter in Atlanta.

Boebert responded on Twitter Wednesday morning.

“Joe Biden is taking a break from his lavish vacations to come to Pueblo to talk about what he calls ‘clean energy,’” she wrote.

“He should come here to apologize for his all-out war on fossil fuels and his Green New Deal agenda, which has cost the great people of Colorado’s Third District dearly. I have legislation that will create 1,000 new jobs in Pueblo. If Biden really wanted to help the community instead of pandering, he would work with me to get it into law!”

Biden, who has alternated throughout his term between trying to ignore his predecessor and calling him a serious threat to democracy, repeatedly invoked Trump during the fundraiser, which was held at the sprawling home of a hedge funder, Tamara Totah Picache, whose mother was an early Biden. fundraising, and her husband Kenneth Picache.

‘I feel it in my bones. I suspect you feel that way too,” Trump told donors who paid $1,000 or more at an event outside Denver. “These next elections will be different because of the nature of what is at stake,” he said.

Biden repeatedly brought up Donald Trump amid a series of polls showing him trailing slightly behind the Republican primary front-runner, even as Trump faces new revelations about his efforts to overturn the Jan. 6 election.

Days after turning 81, Biden is laughing off the age issue in a possible rematch with the 77-year-old Trump.

“Those of you over 40, like me – we’ve never spoken like this in American politics,” he said, repeating the line that “this is not your grandfather’s Republican Party.”

Time and again he brought up his rival, who is leading Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley by wide margins in the early state polls.

“We simply cannot become numb to Trump and the threats he poses,” he advised.

“Donald Trump is about to discover the power of women in America in 2024,” Biden said, pointing to the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.

Biden again tried to deceive Trump by saying he would repeal the Affordable Care Act if he returned to the White House. That issue proved to be a boon for Democrats in 2018 after dozens of attempts by the Republican Party to repeal the law.

“His plan is to get them all off that legislation,” Biden said of Trump and the program beneficiaries.

“Trump gets his way – it’s all gone,” he said.

Boebert has continued to make headlines for her deeply conservative views and personality clashes with Democrats and some of her party colleagues.

Last month Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene discharged at Boebert after calling her a “b****” on the House floor.

Boebert apologized this fall after she was caught on security footage fondling her date during a screening of “Beetlejuice” at a Denver theater.

‘Do you know who I am?’ she said as she was escorted out, giving an employee the finger.

“The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I am truly sorry,” she wrote in a statement.

Boebert’s 2022 opponent, Democrat Adam Frisch, has surpassed her after losing by 546 votes. The two are set for a likely rematch in 2024.
