Biden, 81, forgets the date of January 6 riots at glitzy Westchester fundraiser held by Michael Douglas…then jokes about Trump bleaching his hair
President Joe Biden confused the date of the January 6 riots while attacking his political rival at a fundraiser hosted by award-winning actor Michael Douglas in Westchester, New York.
Biden’s visit closed roads and schools around the village of Irvington as anti-Israel protesters took to the streets.
The fundraiser took place at the home of Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, who were not present due to filming, the White House pool report said.
During his speech to nearly 100 guests, the 81-year-old president suffered another gaffe as he tired of denouncing the failures of his opponent, former President Donald Trump.
“We will certainly never forget the dark days of June 6 – January 6, excuse me,” Biden said.

June 6 is the anniversary of the invasion of the Normandy beaches during World War II, the D-Day operation.
Biden arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport at 4:30 p.m. and flew to the Westchester County Airport, arriving around 5:45 p.m., reported News12 Westchester.
Broadway (Route 9) from White Plains Road (Route 119) in Tarrytown to the Village of Irvington was closed for the event.
The Ardsley Unified Free School District, Hastings-on-Hudson District, Washington Irvington School, Morse School and Paulding School all had early dismissals Thursday to avoid traffic congestion.
The star-studded event was attended by fashion designer Eileen Fisher and Wall Street lawyer Rodge Cohen.
The cost of tickets ranged from $3,300 for one person to $100,000 for top donors.
The president joked that he has something in common with Douglas: “We both married way beyond our means,” he said.
He then accused his political opponent of failures during his presidency, even making fun of his hair.
“We will never forget lying about Covid and telling the American people to inject bleach into their arms. He injected it into his hair,” Biden said.
“We will never forget his love letters to Kim Jong-un. We will never forget when he used tear gas against peaceful protesters and held the Bible upside down.”
Referring to the hush money lawsuit against Trump, Biden said, “I haven’t had a chance to attend the legal proceedings because I’ve been campaigning.”
Trump will conclude the first week of his criminal trial on Friday, where he faces 34 felony counts of falsifying company records in connection with hush money payments intended to prevent negative stories from emerging in the final days of the 2016 campaign.
Prosecutors allege Trump tried to illegally influence the 2016 race through a practice known in the tabloid industry as “catch-and-kill” — capturing a potentially damaging story by buying the rights to it and then killing it through agreements that prevent the paid person from telling the story to anyone else.
