Biden, 80, raises more questions about his age and health by repeating the same story TWICE almost word for word in just a few minutes

  • Biden spoke at a private fundraising event in New York on Wednesday
  • He told a story – twice – about how Charlottesville inspired him to run in 2020
  • He spoke mainly from prepared notes

Joe Biden repeated the same story twice within minutes at a private fundraising event in New York, raising further concerns about his age.

It was a story the 80-year-old president often tells about how the events in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017, and Donald Trump’s response, inspired him to run for the White House.

On August 11, 2017, white supremacists and neo-Nazis came to the city and clashes continued the next day.

Biden, who was in New York for the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, attended a fundraising event at her home hosted by food safety expert Amy Goldman Fowler.

According to a White House pool report on the private event, he began speaking in a living room to about 20 people just after 4 p.m.

After speaking briefly about his economic record, he reflected on his decision to run for president and “talked about the events in Charlottesville” as a reason for his campaign, the report said.

“A few minutes later he retold the story, almost word for word,” the report continued.

A spokesman for the Republican National Committee said sarcastically of the report, “This is totally fine.”

Steve Guest, former spokesman for Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, added: “This is normal…completely normal.”

An Associated Press poll last month found that 77 percent of voters believe Biden is too old to be effective for another four years. That included 69 percent of Democrats.

He has made a series of blunders recently, including at the United Nations, where he bumped into a Brazilian flag and then apparently wandered off a podium without shaking hands with the Brazilian president.
