BGT viewers in hysterics as Mr Blobby gatecrashes the stage to replace Simon Cowell
Viewers of Britain’s Got Talent were left in hysterics when 1990s TV legend Mr Blobby returned to the show during Thursday’s live semi-final.
The episode opened with the judge’s entrance, which saw Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Toniloi joined by the large pink-flecked character, standing in for Simon Cowell.
The skit saw Mr. Blobby’s unauthorized presence lead to him attacking host Ant McPartlin before ducking off stage and being dragged out by security.
While everyone burst into laughter, Simon made his grand entrance with Ant & Dec to inform viewers that Mr. Blobby wasn’t coming back.
Excited fans took to Twitter with one even demanding the wacky character – who rose to fame in BBC1’s Noel Edmond’s House Party – should be a full time judge on the ITV talent show.

Comment: ‘Petition to have Mr. Blobby as a full-time judge!’.
With a second quipped, “Switch Bruno [Tonioli] with Bobby.
Before a third added, “Prefer Mr. Blobby as judge.”
It comes after Blobby auditioned for the show earlier in the series using his own unique brand of magic.
Created by Charlie Adams, a writer on Noel’s House Party, Mr Blobby is a spherical pink figure who only communicates by uttering the word ‘blobby’.
He topped the UK Charts in 1993 with his Christmas hit ‘Mr Blobby’ and more recently appeared on Dancing on Ice, Loose Women and This Morning.
During Thursday’s episode, fans criticized the show for being “unfair” and “sham” after one of the acts was revealed to be a previous runner-up.
Noodle the animated cat blew the audience away during his audition, with many wondering who the voice was behind the CGI cat.

During the live semi-final, last year’s runner-up Tom Ball walked on stage to reveal himself to be Noodle.
Hosts Ant and Dec and the judges were stunned, with Simon Cowell saying, ‘I swear to god I never knew who was behind the cat. I have to hand it to you, you’ve never sung so well!’
Alesha Dixon added: ‘What a nice surprise!’ as Bruno Tonioli gushed, “I didn’t expect that!”
“The way you hit those long highs without ever losing pitch, it was insane. Just right, mission accomplished.’

However, viewers watching at home were unimpressed and took to Twitter to complain that it was unfair for Tom to be allowed to rejoin the competition.
Tom placed third in the 2022 series and even appeared in America’s Got Talent: All Stars earlier this year.
After his performance, he said, “It completely changed my life. I signed a record deal, I have a tour. It’s all because of this show.”
Fans complained that Tom had already achieved success and took a spot from a more deserving contestant.
One said ‘tom ball is a really great singer but he was 3rd last year then he did the eight champions show and now he’s back?? seems a bit off.
Another echoed: “Tom Ball finished third last year, signed a record deal and toured America. Get off the show, let someone else live the dream for a bit.”
Not happy: During Thursday’s episode, fans criticized the show for being “unfair” and a “sham” after one of the acts was revealed to be a previous runner-up

A third commented: ‘I loved Tom Ball last year and think he’s a great singer, but for him to come back is just wrong. It’s a promotion. You’ve already done it. Now you take over from others. Sorry Tom Ball. Shame.’
Another added: ‘Tom Ball doesn’t need this at all…seems very unfair how this all turned out’.
A fifth agreed, writing ‘tom ball is a great singer, but let someone else have their chance’.
While a sixth tweeted, “Great voice but not sure I understand why Tom Ball is back again? He said BGT had changed his life, he went on tour and signed a record deal. Then why not give someone else a chance?’.
