Beyoncé made a huge impression on Friday evening with an impassioned speech at the Kamala Harris rally in her hometown of Houston, Texas

The Freedom singer, 43, shared videos and photos from the evening and captioned them with a statement that echoed her speech at the rally: ‘Time to sing a new song’

‘I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a politician,” Beyoncé said.

“I am here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, our past, present or future.”

The mother of three continued, “Imagine our daughters growing up and seeing what is possible, with no ceilings and no limitations. It’s time for America to sing a new song.

‘Let’s do this. Ladies and gentlemen, please extend a warm and loud welcome to Texas for the next President of the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris,” Beyoncé said excitedly as the crowd showed their support.

The Single Ladies singer did not perform at the event, which upset fans.

However, it is not surprising that the comments on her post paint a very different picture full of love, support and gratitude.

More than 30,000 people filled the area and another 10,000 were reported to have gathered outside as 2.5 million people watched the live stream of the event.

Kelly Rowland stood on stage next to Beyonce as she gave her speech and gave her own endorsement to Harris.

“We are writing a new American story… about kindness and hope,” she said.
