Beyonce and Jay-Z step out for lowkey NYC dinner with pals after they TIE for most Grammy nods ever

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z were spotted this week having a casual dinner with friends in New York City.

The 41-year-old pop diva gave casual chic a chic twist by pairing a hoodie and jeans with a pair of dazzling stilettos.

She sharpened the features of her screen siren with make-up and let her luxurious long blonde hairstyle pop out from under her hood.

Jay-Z, whose first name is Shawn Carter, sported a similarly understated look of a hoodie, sweats and a pair of sneakers.

Their outing comes just days after the latest Grammy nominations were announced, propelling both Beyonce and Jay-Z to a staggering performance.

Jay-Z and Beyonce are now tied for the most Grammy nominations of all time, with each of them garnering 88 over the course of their careers.

Beyonce earned her nominations this year for her new hit album Renaissance, which she released in the summer of July and includes singles like I’m That Girl and Break My Soul.

In compiling the album, she enlisted the help of artists such as Drake, Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, Skrillex – and none other than her own husband.

As a result, both Bey and Jay earned Grammy nominations for the same album, bringing them to their current total of 88 apiece.

Beyonce previously commented that she hopes the album will be a rejuvenating form of escape for people after the turbulence of 2020.

“With all the isolation and injustice of the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love and laugh again,” she said last year.

“I feel a renaissance coming on, and I want to be a part of nurturing that escape in any way I can,” she said in last year’s Icon issue. Harper’s Bazaar.

‘I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes me a year to personally sift through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies,” she noted.

“Still, nothing beats the amount of love, passion and healing I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!’ she assured her audience.

Renaissance is Beyonce’s first solo studio album since her seminal 2016 visual album Lemonade, in which she famously confronted the questions surrounding her marriage to Jay-Z and his fidelity.

Since Lemonade, she has released a collaborative album with Jay-Z, a live album and a few soundtrack-related companion pieces for Disney’s photo-realistic remake of The Lion King, in which she voiced the love interest Nala.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been married since 2008 and have welcomed three children into the world: Blue Ivy, 10, and twins Sir and Rumi, five.
