Beyonce goes braless in plunging leotard for Betty Davis Halloween transformation

Beyonce put on a sizzling performance as she transformed into a busty Betty Davis ahead of Halloween on Thursday.

The 43-year-old singer went braless in a plunging zebra print leotard as she recreated the iconic singer’s look on the 2005 compilation album, This Is It.

The skimpy ensemble featured hairy statement shoulders and showed off the singer’s incredibly toned legs and curves.

She completed the ensemble with white cowboy boots and a dramatic pop of red lipstick.

The legendary funk singer and ex-wife of jazz great Miles Davis died in February 2022 at the age of 77.

Davis rose to prominence in the mid-1960s and 1970s with her instantly recognizable raspy voice and cemented herself in the history of funk music.

She was briefly married to jazz icon Miles Davis, his second wife, but the couple separated after just a year. He was 19 years older than her.

The couple met and collaborated on some music in 1968, and around that time they tied the knot, but their professional and personal relationship quickly soured, although she kept his last name.

Betty had a major impact on Miles, one that lasted long after their romance. It is said she introduced him to new music such as Jimi Hendrix, who catalyzed Davis’ turn to jazz fusion and some of his most iconic words.

Perhaps not as widely known as some of her contemporaries, as Rolling Stone put it, Davis left behind “an underappreciated but groundbreaking body of work” after her death.

Davis worked as a model in London and recorded music in the early 1970s. In 1973 she released her self-titled first album.

Her next two albums, They Say I’m Different and Nasty Gal, were released in 1974 and 1975 respectively.

Only two of Betty’s singles reached the top 100, with If I’m In Luck I Might Get Picked Up peaking at 66 and Shut Off the Lights at 97, according to Billboard.

She resurfaced in 2017 to contribute to a documentary about her life, Betty Davis: They Say I’m Different, the title a nod to her album of the same name.

The following year, the former celebrity opened up about her decision to step away from the spotlight in an interview with the former celebrity New York Times.

“When I was told it was over, I just accepted it. And no one else knocked on my door,” she joked to the newspaper.

Beyoncé recently gave a powerful speech supporting Kamala Harris for president at a rally held in her hometown of Houston, Texas on Friday.

‘I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a politician,” Beyoncé said.

“I am here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, our past, present or future.”

The Freedom singer shared videos and photos from the evening and captioned them with a statement that echoed her speech at the rally: “Time to sing a new song”

The mother of three continued, “Imagine our daughters growing up and seeing what is possible, with no ceilings and no limitations. It’s time for America to sing a new song.

‘Let’s do this. Ladies and gentlemen, please extend a warm and loud welcome to Texas for the next President of the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris,” Beyoncé said excitedly as the crowd showed their support.

The Single Ladies singer did not perform at the event, which reportedly upset some fans.
