Beyonce baffles concert-goers by enlisting the help of an AUTOCUE on her Renaissance tour
For months she practiced behind closed doors for her acclaimed Renaissance world tour.
But when it comes to singing her chart lyrics, Beyonce seems so nervous that she enlisted the help of an autocue.
The pop superstar – who goes by the nickname Queen Bey – wowed fans at her concerts in the UK with the big screen that overlooks the stage and is decorated with the words written in large font for the 40 songs she sings during the two-and-a-half hour performances.
When placed far enough back, it doesn’t attract too much attention and sits amongst the bustling crowds, in her direct eyeline for her to see as she dances on stage.
While many older singers occasionally use them, Beyonce — whose full name is Beyonce Knowles — has baffled her fans because she’s only 41.

An audience member at her recent concerts at North London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium said: ‘Why should Beyonce be reminded of the lyrics to her songs?
“She’s written many, I’ve never seen anything like it.”
However, sources close to Beyonce, who will perform tonight in Hamburg, Germany as part of her 57-date tour, say it’s there to prevent “slips.”
One of them said, “She has a lot of dance moves to remember, as well as the words of the songs.”
Autocues, or teleprompters as they are known in the music industry, were previously used by much older artists such as Bruce Springsteen, 73, Tom Petty, 66, and Paul McCartney, 81.
The American rock band Aerosmith, led by 75-year-old Steve Tyler, is also said to have used one.
However, her routines have also come under scrutiny with some of her loyal fans saying her moves weren’t as slick as usual. They claimed she was recovering from an injury – four months after rumors circulated that she had undisclosed foot surgery.
Despite this, the tour has been a triumph for the mother of three, who is married to rap star Jay-Z.
