Beverly Hills restaurant brawl caught in viral video

A fight outside an upscale restaurant in California on April 26 between a patron and the sidewalk instigators has gone viral on social media.

The brawl at Porta Via in Beverly Hills took place in the restaurant’s dining area, close to the sidewalk on Canon Drive, a after from the restaurant said.

A group of individuals equipped with face masks, dressed in black and carrying cameras, began harassing customers.

One person who was dining became involved in what started as a tense verbal altercation.

In a video op X which appeared to have been taken by a hostess, the instigator held up a phone and argued with the patron.

The masked man urged him to fight, threatened him to “pull that shit again” and asked if he “wanted his shot right now.”

The taller customer told him to put his phone down, but he started swearing at him, calling him a “James Bond bastard” and saying he was insecure.

The man then tried to knock the phone out of his hand, which led to the masked man making a generous noise – in an attempt to catch him off guard as he threw a punch.

This appeared to have been a mistake as the patron – sporting a brown suit – stepped back, dodged and then threw a right hook.

The agitator immediately hit the ground, almost causing a patio heater to fall over.

In a separate video from Street people media that shows another angle of the fight: after the light burst, the patron said “let’s go b**ch” to the other agitators who were still there filming.

Originally, Street People Media reported that the man who fought was a manager of the restaurant, but Porta Via clarified this in a statement Instagram reported that none of their employees were involved.

The restaurant wrote: “One of the customers became involved in a physical altercation with the group. He was not an employee or manager, as was recently incorrectly reported.
