Better Home and Gardens star Charlie Albone drops price on his country retreat complete with stables by over half a million in bid to sell

Charlie Albone has lowered the price for his country retreat after initially asking $3 million.

The 43-year-old Better Homes and Garden star first put his beautiful home on New South Wales’ central coast up for sale in February.

But it failed to sell, with the price dropping from $3 million-$3.2 million to $2.45 million to $2.65 million. real estate.com.au reports.

The sprawling four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is located in Ourimbah on 2.07 hectares.

The main feature of the rural retreat is a beautiful English-style cottage, surrounded by beautifully maintained sculpted gardens.

Charlie bought the property with his wife Juliet Love in 2012 for $840,000, reports said The Daily Telegraph.

Other highlights include a separate ‘unit’ with its own kitchen and bedroom.

There’s also a wonderfully secluded backyard entertainment deck, hidden beneath a vine-covered alcove, and a saltwater pool.

Other amenities include a classic porch, vegetable garden and fire pit.

The property also contains a number of stables, while the master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and en suite bathroom with bath.

The list shows that average house prices in Ourimbah, which is 12km from Gosford, are now $800.00.

In 2020, Charlie and his interior designer wife bought a fixer-upper in Maroubra for $2.355 million.

The serial renovators later modernized the house, just as they had done for the Ourimbah retreat, which is now up for grabs.

The purchase followed Charlie’s decision to leave Foxtel’s Selling Houses Australia in 2019 to join the Better Homes and Gardens team, replacing Jason Hodges.

Jason was brutally removed from the Channel Seven lifestyle show after 16 years.

But Charlie was very happy with the position.

He fanaticized on Instagram in February: ‘Excitement overload! For those who don’t know yet, I’m joining the great team at Better Homes and Gardens.”
